Life & Ride In Metro-3: Mumbai Saw 39 Lakh Travellers In October, Ticket Apps To WiFi, All Details
Mumbai Metro Line-3, also known as the Aqua Line, carried around 39 lakh passengers in October, indicating a steady rise in daily ridership on the city's first underground mass-transit corridor, officials said on Sunday.
According to Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC), the 33.5-km line, running between Cuffe Parade station in south Mumbai and Aarey JVLR station in the western suburbs, recorded a footfall of 38.63 lakh commuters last month.
The line was thrown fully open after its inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 9. In the 22 days between October 9 and 31, 33.33 lakh commuters used the service.

The spokesperson said the average weekday ridership of the Aqua Line stood at 1.41 lakh, with the highest single-day ridership touching 1.82 lakh since opening.
Mumbai Metro-3 is the city's first underground line and has 27 stations — Cuffe Parade, Vidhan Bhavan, Churchgate, Hutatma Chowk (Fort), CSMT (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus), Kalbadevi, Girgaon, Grant Road, Mumbai Central, Mahalaxmi, Science Museum (Worli), Worli, Siddhivinayak, Dadar, Shitaladevi Temple, Dharavi, Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Vidyanagari, Santacruz, CSIA Domestic Airport (T1), CSIA International Airport (T2), Marol Naka, MIDC, SEEPZ, Marol, Aarey Colony, Aarey Depot (JVLR terminus). The Cuffe Parade to Worli stretch became operational recently.
Here are three easy ways to get tickets and avoid hassles:
1. Mumbai One App
This app will help you get tickets for Mumbai Metro Line 2A, 7, 3, 1, Monorail, Navi Mumbai Metro, Mumbai Suburban Rail, Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport, Thane Municipal Corporation Transport, Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation Transport, and Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation Transport. While the inter-Metro integration is still being worked out, it still makes travelling far easier. The QR code to download the app is in the link below.

Download the Mumbai One App
Sign up using your mobile number and email id
Once logged in, select the source and destination stations
Make payment using UPI, credit card, or debit card
QR code will be received after successful payment
Scan the QR code at metro check-in gates.

2. MetroConnect3 app
The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) has listed the steps to use this app. The QR code to download the app is in the link below.
Steps for commuters
Login to ‘MetroConnect3' mobile app before entering the station.
Connect to Public Wi-Fi named ‘MetroConnect3' under phone's Wi-Fi settings.
Open the mobile app → go to Profile → select ‘Connect to Wi-Fi' to avail full internet access (Wi-Fi Calling, WhatsApp Chat & Calling ,Full Internet access etc.)

3. WhatsApp tickets

While many have complained of network issues, you can connect to the free WiFi in three easy steps, says MMRC:
1. Download the ‘MetroConnect3' app and log in before entering the station. The QR code to download the app is in the Instagram link below.
2. Go to your mobile's WiFi settings and select the MetroConnect3 network.
3. Open the mobile app, go to Profile, select ‘Connect to Wi-Fi' and avail full internet access. It includes Wi-Fi Calling, WhatsApp Chat and calling, full Internet access, etc.

Where is the service available on Mumbai Metro-3?
This service is available at the concourse level, near the ticket window, where you can connect immediately while preparing for your journey.
The MMRC has urged passengers to make the most of this free WiFi service.

The first train departs at 05.55 hrs from Terminal Stations i.e., Aarey JVLR & Acharya Atre Chowk. Last train continues to depart at 22:30 hrs.
Mumbaiites will be able to travel from Aarey to Colaba in one hour, saving their one-two hours. The Worli to Cuffe Parade distance will be covered in 15 minutes.
BKC to Worli distance will be covered in 13-15 minutes. The commute takes 45-60 minutes by road.
Andheri to Cuffe Parade will be covered in 45-50 minutes, while CSMIA T2 to BKC in 10-12 minutes.
It is directly connected to business hubs such as SEEPZ, MIDC, BKC, Worli, Lower Parel, Fort, Cuffe Parade. Railway interchanges at Dadar, Mumbai Central, Churchgate, and CSMT make switching faster.

Line 3 does not have to bother with road congestion, traffic lights, signal delays, and monsoon-related flooding as it fully underground.
