Mumbai Metro Aqua Line Takes You To Airport For Rs 60: Is There Stop At T1? How Much Luggage Is Allowed?

A video is getting a lot of attention online after a man shared his experience of travelling from South Mumbai's Girgaon to Mumbai International Airport for just Rs 60. He explained how the city's first Aqua Metro line made the entire trip quick, smooth, and far cheaper than taking a cab. According to him, the new metro route is a “game changer" because it connects key parts of the city and makes airport travel much easier.

In the clip, he says he wanted to give people an honest review so they know what to expect before trying it themselves. He also mentioned that tourists will find it especially useful because the metro stops at many popular locations. The video focuses on the actual journey, the convenience, and the few small issues he faced along the way.

A Smooth And Affordable Airport Journey

The video opens with him travelling with his family, luggage in hand. Right at the start, he shares one of the biggest benefits, “By the way, I saved Rs 500 to Rs 600 by skipping Ola and Uber, and this ride was far better than I imagined."

He points out that heavy bags are allowed on the metro, but if a bag weighs around 25 to 30 kg, you may have to pay an extra Rs 60. He then mentions why this route will help tourists the most.

The Aqua Metro stops at the Mahalaxmi and Siddhivinayak temples, Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), and both terminals of the Mumbai airport. He says this makes it easy for visitors to complete darshan, travel for work, or catch flights without depending on cabs or dealing with traffic.

A Small Problem On The Way

The man praises the infrastructure, calling it top-class, but also points out one issue that stood out during his trip. At Girgaon station, the lift had broken down even before services fully began. Since they were travelling with luggage, they had no choice but to place all the bags on the escalator. Still, they reached the platform safely and continued the journey without any trouble.

Once they arrived at Terminal 2, he says the exit was simple. You come up from the station, cross one road, and the airport is right in front of you. He describes the whole experience as “amazing" and gives it a rating of nine out of ten.
