CBSE Class 12th Result 2026 Release Date, Time Live Updates: The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to declare the CBSE Class 12 results 2026 soon. Considering the rapid announcement of the Class 10 results this year and the use of the on-screen marking system, the CBSE Class 12 results 2026 are expected by the end of April.
In addition to results.cbse.nic.in and cbse.go.in, marksheets will also be available on DigiLocker. Students will need their roll number, school code and date of birth to access their results online. Nearly 18.5 lakh students who appeared for the Class 12 exams are eagerly awaiting their scores.
This year, CBSE is using AI to make its board exam evaluation more accurate, transparent, and faster. The board has recently taken significant steps towards adopting on-screen marking (OSM) and AI-based systems. The days of teachers using red pens on physical answer sheets are over. Now, answer sheets are digitally scanned and displayed on a computer screen. This technology aims to reduce the time required to declare results and completely eliminate errors in re-checking and totalling.
With the Class 10 results declared on April 15, the Class 12 results are expected to follow soon. As per media reports, the evaluation of answer sheets has been completed and the data uploading is in its final stages.
Options in UG courses include a BCA in AI & Data Analytics/Machine Learning, which is a 3-year, job-ready course that is non-PCM friendly and often offered by private universities; a B.Sc. in AI & Machine Learning; a B.Voc in Artificial Intelligence; and a BBA in AI-Driven Management. These degrees are suitable for students from any stream (Arts, Commerce, or Science) who have passed 12th with a decent minimum (often 45-50%), with or without Mathematics.
It has often been observed that CBSE does not keep a long gap between the results of 10th and 12th. After the 10th results were declared on April 15, the 12th results are now in the final stages. According to media reports, the evaluation of the answer sheets has already been completed, and the data uploading is almost complete. It is expected that the board may make this big announcement by the end of April.
Once the results are declared, students will be able to view their CBSE 12th Result 2026 online by entering their roll number, school number, and date of birth mentioned on the admit cards.
Examiners now check answer sheets through a computer login, either at home or at an evaluation centre. The screen displays the student’s answer sheet on one side and the board’s marking scheme on the other. Examiners assign marks to each question. The system does not open the next copy until all pages and all questions in the current copy have been checked.
Copies from CBSE examination centres are sent directly to regional centres, where they are digitised using high-speed scanners. Each student’s copy is assigned a unique barcode, so the examiner cannot identify the student. This “blind evaluation” ensures fairness. Once digitised, these copies are stored on a cloud server.

CBSE Class 10 and 12 results 2026 can be checked on the official websites results.cbse.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in and cbse.gov.in. Students can also use other reliable platforms such as the DigiLocker website/app, the UMANG app, and SMS.

After the declaration of CBSE 12th Result 2026, students can access their results through the following convenient methods:
— Official websites: Visit cbseresults.nic.in or cbse.gov.in and check your result using your roll number.
— SMS: Receive your result directly on your mobile phone by sending an SMS in the prescribed format.
— IVRS/Call: Hear your result by calling the Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS).
— DigiLocker: Log in to the DigiLocker app or website to download your marksheet and certificate.
— UMANG App: View your CBSE result through the UMANG mobile app.

The official date and time for the CBSE Class 12 results 2026 have not yet been announced. However, based on last year’s pattern, experts expect the results to be declared in the second week of May. In both 2025 and 2024, the CBSE results were announced on May 13, while in 2023, they were declared on May 12.
According to the notification issued by the board, the CBSE 10th second exams will begin on May 15, 2026. The exams will start at 10:30 am and will include core subjects as well as various regional and foreign languages. It will continue till May 21.
It is often observed that the CBSE does not leave a long gap between the Class 10 and Class 12 results. After the Class 10 results were declared on April 15, the Class 12 results are now in their final stages. According to media reports, the evaluation of answer sheets has been completed, and the data uploading process is nearly finished. April 30, 2026, is the last working day of the month, so it is expected that the board may make a major announcement by then.
A student who scores 33 per cent in the CBSE exam will be declared passed. If a student falls short of this requirement by one mark or so, grace mark(s) may be given. Those scoring below this may apply for the compartment exam or will have to repeat the year.
