CBSE 12th Result 2026 Date And Time Live Updates: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to declare the CBSE Class 12 Board Result 2026 by the end of this week on its official websites, cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in. After the results are declared, students will be able to view their CBSE 12th Result 2026 online by entering their roll number, school number, admit card ID, and date of birth. They will also be able to access their CBSE marksheet, scorecard, and pass certificate via DigiLocker and the UMANG app.
More than 18 lakh students who appeared for the CBSE 12th Board Exams 2026 across India are eagerly waiting for the official announcement of the CBSE Class 12 result date and time. This includes over 10 lakh boys and more than 8 lakh girls.
The days of teachers using red pens on physical answer sheets are over; now, answer sheets are digitally scanned and evaluated on a computer screen. CBSE is using AI to make its board exam evaluation more accurate, transparent, and faster. Recently, the board has taken major steps towards adopting on-screen marking (OSM) and AI-based systems.
The official date and time for the CBSE 2025 Class 10 and 12 results have not yet been announced. However, experts expect them to follow last year’s pattern, with the results likely to be declared in the second week of May. In 2024 and 2022, the CBSE results were announced on May 13, while in 2023, they were declared on May 12. It should be noted that there will be second phase exams for Class 10, scheduled to begin on May 15. Therefore, the Class 10 results can be expected by April.

Step 2: Click on the 10th/12th result on the homepage.
Step 3: Enter your roll number, school number, and date of birth to log in.
Step 4: The result will be displayed on the screen.
Step 5: Download and save the digital marksheet for future use.

You will receive your result as an SMS on the same number, once out.
– Download and install the UMANG app from the Play Store or App Store.
– Navigate to the ‘Services’ section and tap on ‘CBSE’.
– Log in using your registered mobile number via OTP or MPIN.
– Enter your credentials such as registration number and other required details.
– Submit the information – your CBSE Class 12 result will be displayed on the screen.
After the declaration of CBSE 12th Result 2026, students can check their results through the following convenient methods:
— Official websites: Visit cbseresults.nic.in or cbse.gov.in and view your result using your roll number.
— SMS: Get your result directly on your mobile by sending an SMS in the prescribed format.
— IVRS/Call: Listen to your result by calling through the Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS).
— DigiLocker: Log in to the DigiLocker app or website to download your marksheet and certificate.
— UMANG App: Access your CBSE result through the UMANG mobile app.
In 2025, the overall pass percentage for CBSE Class 12 students was 88.39%, marking a 0.41% increase from the 2024 pass rate of 87.98%. Of the 17,04,367 students who registered, 16,92,794 appeared for the exams and 14,96,307 passed. Among all regions, Vijayawada recorded the highest pass percentage at 99.60%, followed by Trivandrum at 99.32% and Chennai at 97.39%.
Sanvi Jain, a resident of Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, scored 499 out of 500 marks in the Class 12 board examinations. Along with excelling in CBSE Class 12, she also secured rank 1 in JEE Main. Originally from Bengaluru, Karnataka, Sanvi was preparing for both JEE and the medical entrance exam, NEET. “Be regular in your preparation and always analyse your test series. Learn from your mistakes and work on your weaknesses,” she advised aspirants.
1. Go to the official DigiLocker website at digilocker.gov.in and log in using your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
2. After logging in, select the ‘Issued Documents’ option on the homepage.
3. In this section, click on the link for CBSE 12th Result 2026.
4. Your marksheet will then be displayed on the screen, showing the marks for all subjects.
5. Download your marksheet in PDF format and save it for future use.
In 2025, Vijayawada ranked as the top-performing region with an outstanding pass percentage of 99.60%, followed by Trivandrum with 99.32% and Chennai with 97.39%.
The CBSE uses a 9-point grading system (from A1 to E) based on the marks obtained by each student. A1 is the highest grade, while Grade E is awarded to students who fail the exam. The top 1/8th of passed students receive Grade A1, and the next 1/8th receive Grade A2. The following 1/8th groups of passed students are given Grades B1 and B2, respectively. This pattern continues with Grades C1, C2, D1, and D2. Students who do not pass the exam are assigned Grade E.
The CBSE 12th results were announced on May 13 in both 2024 and 2025, while in 2023 the scorecards were released on May 12. This year, the class 12 results are expected to be declared earlier, likely by the end of April. The board has been using an on-screen marking process this year.
A student who scores 33 per cent in the CBSE exam will be declared passed. If a student falls short of this requirement by one mark or so, grace mark(s) may be awarded. Those scoring below this may apply for the compartment exam or will have to repeat the year.

Step 1: Go to the official website of CBSE at cbse.gov.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, look for and click on the link that says – “CBSE 12th Result 2026″.
Step 3: As a new window opens, key in your roll number, admit card ID, date of birth and other details, if required. Then click on ‘Enter’.
Step 4: The CBSE 12th Result 2026 will appear on the screen.
Step 5: Check and download the scorecard.
CBSE 12th Result 2026: CBSE 12th results are expected to be out by April-end. Once released, it can be checked on the official websites at cbse.gov.in and cbseresults.nic.in.
