CBSE Results 2026 Class 10th Date and Time Live Updates: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 Exam 2026 results are likely to be announced soon. The exams ended in March while the class 12 results are expected to be out in May.
The board has not yet issued any official announcement regarding the class 10 result. However, media reports suggest that the class 10 result may be declared today, April 14, or tomorrow, April 15. Even if it is not released today, it is almost certain that the result will be announced before the last week of April, as the phase 2 exams are scheduled to begin on May 15.
Once the results are published, students will be able to check their marks online by entering their roll number, school code, date of birth, and admit card ID. The results will be accessible on the official websites: cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, parikshasangam.cbse.gov.in, and saras.cbse.gov.in.
1. First of all visit the official website of CBSE – cbseresults.nic.in, results.cbse.nic.in or cbse.gov.in.
2. Now on the homepage you will see the result link, click on it.
3. Now fill your important details like – exam roll number, school code, date of birth and admit card ID.
4. After filling all the details, click on the ‘Submit’ button, your result will appear on the screen.

CBSE will award merit certificates to the top 0.1% of students with the highest scores. However, the board will not release a toppers list to discourage unhealthy competition. As per previous years’, CBSE will also not assign second or third divisions to students.
In addition to subject-wise marks, the CBSE scorecard will display essential details such as the student’s name, roll number, parents’ names, school name, date of birth, city and state, name of the education board, division, total marks, and result status (pass/fail).

The CBSE uses a 9-point grading system (from A1 to E) based on the marks scored by each student. A1 represents the highest grade, while grade E is assigned to those who fail the exam. The top 1/8th of passed students are awarded Grade A1, with the next 1/8th receiving Grade A2. Subsequent 1/8th groups of passed students are given Grades B1 and B2. This pattern continues with Grades C1, C2, D1, and D2. Those who do not pass the exam are given Grade E.
Students who have passed can take the improvement exam in three main subjects. Those who have got a compartment can take the exam again. Those who have failed in three or more subjects are not eligible for the second exam. This year, about 25 lakh students have written the Class 10 exams. The total number of students in the CBSE board is over 43 lakh. The results are expected to be released quickly and smoothly.

This time CBSE has brought a modern approach. The answer sheets are first converted into digital form with high-speed scanners. Each sheet has a barcode. With this, checking is done without knowing the student’s name. The test papers are shown on the screen and the marking scheme is next to it. The total marks are calculated automatically. This reduces mistakes. An AI system is also being used. It detects unusual marking, very fast checking, and inconsistencies in the marks. The software also shows whether each answer has been checked or not.

Many students, in a hurry or under stress, forget their CBSE board exam roll number, and some even misplace their admit card. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10th Exam 2026 (Session 1) results may be announced any day this week. According to the X account of DigiLocker, the CBSE 10th results are “coming soon” and students have been advised not to wait “till result day-set up your DigiLocker account now and stay ready”.
CBSE has specified that the second board examination is intended only for certain categories of students:
Improvement Category: Students who have passed the first exam may reappear in up to three main subjects (Science, Mathematics, Social Science, and Languages) to enhance their scores.
Compartment Category: Students who are placed in the “Compartment” category in the first exam can sit for the second exam as Compartment candidates.
Combined Improvement and Compartment: In some situations, students who meet the criteria for both categories can appear under both Improvement and Compartment provisions.
Replacement Subject: Students who have already passed but wish to replace a subject or improve their performance in it may also take the second examination.
CBSE has further stated that students who are absent in three or more subjects in the main examination will not be allowed to appear in the second board examination. The board has also made it clear that no requests for relaxation of this rule will be entertained.
The AI system serves as a supervisor, primarily monitoring the following aspects:
Irregular marking: If an examiner evaluates answer sheets too quickly, the AI triggers an alert.
Points calculation: The AI automatically sums up the points, removing the risk of totalling errors.

The old system of checking copies often led to answers being left ‘unevaluated’. With the digital system this cannot happen, as the software instantly flags any blank columns or unmarked pages. In addition, uploading marks to the main marksheet is fully automated, removing the risk of human data entry errors.
Copies from CBSE examination centres are sent directly to regional centres, where they are digitised using high-speed scanners. Each student’s copy is given a unique barcode, preventing the examiner from identifying the student. This “blind evaluation” ensures fairness. After digitisation, these copies are stored on a cloud server.
Examiners now evaluate answer sheets by logging into a computer. The screen shows the student’s answer sheet on one side and the board’s marking scheme on the other. Examiners award marks for each question, and the system does not open the next script until all pages and all questions in the current one have been checked.
CBSE Class 10 exams started on February 17 and continued till March 11. The results are now expected to be announced April 14 or 15. DigiLocker too has updated its website stating CBSE class 10 results “coming soon”.
CBSE Class 10 results can also be easily checked via SMS. To do this, students must go to their mobile’s message box and type: CBSE10 followed by your exam roll number, school code, and admit caard ID, for example: CBSE10 0153749 12345 4569. Then send this message to 7738299899. Their result will arrive on their mobile phone shortly.
No official announcement has yet been made by the board regarding the class 10 result. However, according to media reports, the class 10 result could be declared today, April 14, 2026. Even if it is not declared today, it is almost certain that the result will be announced before the last week of April, as the improvement exams are scheduled to begin in May.

To reduce the burden on teachers and maintain evaluation accuracy, CBSE has adopted an on-screen marking system. Under this process, paper checkers work 8 hours a day, checking 20 answer sheets of main subjects and 25 answer sheets of other subjects. With this faster pace, paper checking is expected to be completed in 9 days, whereas earlier it used to take 12 or more days.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has stepped up preparations to announce the results of the class 10 and 12 board examinations for the 2026 academic session. This year, a total of 43 lakh students appeared for the CBSE board examinations, including 25 lakh class 10 students. As the second examination is scheduled by the board in May 2026, the results are likely to be declared earlier than last year.
CBSE earlier stated that students must have a minimum of 75% attendance to be eligible for the board exams. Schools will maintain strict daily registers to monitor attendance. A relaxation of up to 25% may be granted only in exceptional cases such as medical emergencies, bereavement, or participation in national-level sports and cultural events, and only with valid proof. Students with poor attendance and no valid justification will be barred from the exams, even if they are registered as regular candidates.
The choice is no longer only between science, commerce, or arts; it now depends on how well students can adapt to AI. AI has created many new career opportunities. Humanities students can work with data analysis, and commerce students can use AI tools to forecast the stock market. Still, the fundamentals remain essential. When deciding your 11th grade stream, you should consider both your interests and academic strengths, while also being aware of market demand. In the AI era, what matters is not the degree you hold but what you can actually “do.” You can opt for vocational subjects like coding, graphic design, data visualisation, or digital content creation alongside your 11th grade studies. Blending these skills with traditional academic knowledge will put you ahead of many peers who depend only on bookish learning.
Those who do not meet this minimum requirement will have to appear for phase 2, which will be conducted in May. The exact exam schedule will be out soon after the results are declared. However, students will only be able to take the exams for three subjects.

This year, CBSE has made a major change for Class 10 students. Students can now re-appear (Session 2) in up to three subjects to improve their performance.
