NTA SWAYAM January 2026 Schedule Out: Candidates planning to appear for the exam can check the dates on the official website at exams.nta.nic.in/swayam/.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the exam schedule for the SWAYAM January 2026 semester. Candidates intending to take the exam can view the dates on the official website at exams.nta.nic.in/swayam/. According to the official notice, the SWAYAM January 2026 semester exams will be conducted on June 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21, 2026. NTA has also announced buffer dates on June 22 and 23, 2026, which may be utilised if needed due to technical or administrative reasons.
SWAYAM is a national-level online education initiative supported by the Government of India, with exams scheduled for 648 courses. The exams will be conducted in hybrid mode, including Computer-Based Tests (CBT) and Pen and Paper tests. The mode of exam for each course will be specified in the course details.
The exams will take place in two shifts each day: the first shift from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and the second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm. The medium of the question paper will be English only; however, language papers will be conducted in their respective languages.
There will be no negative marking for any wrong answer in the MCQ sections. Unanswered or unattempted questions will not receive any marks. If a question is found to be incorrect or ambiguous or has multiple correct answers, only those candidates who have attempted the question and chosen one of the correct answers will be awarded the mark. If a question is found to be incorrect due to human or technical error and is subsequently dropped, marks will be awarded only to those candidates who attempted the question.
Students who obtain 40% marks in term end written test conducted by NTA and 40% marks in internal assessment separately, will be eligible for certificate and credit transfer.
“Candidates are advised to regularly check the NTA website(s) at https://exams.nta.nic.in/swayam/ , www.nta.ac.in forthe latest updates regarding the Examination.
