Delhi has seen a rise in day temperature in the past few days, with a slight chill in the mornings and evenings. However, this heat may increase over the next few days. The coolness in the mornings and evenings will also decrease.
The weather in Delhi will remain clear for the next few days, leading to bright sunshine.
In the plains, including UP, Bihar and other regions, the daytime temperature is likely to remain higher as the skies are expected to remain clear. Although cold winds from the mountains will bring morning and evening chill.
In hilly regions, the weather department has warned residents to remain alert for snowfall and rain. The department has urged them to consult the local weather before travelling.
Rain and cloudy conditions are expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Muzaffarabad between February 13 and 16. Snowfall is also possible in higher altitude areas. Rain is also expected in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on February 16 and 17.
According to the meteorological department, Northeast India is experiencing fluctuating weather. The onset of the subtropical westerly jet stream will bring winds blowing from west to east in the upper troposphere at speeds of 12-14 kilometres per hour.
Accordingly, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh are expected to experience light rain on February 13-14.
The weather in southern India is expected to remain dry. Strong winds are expected in coastal areas. Rain may also occur in some areas. The weather department has issued a warning for fishermen and those venturing into the sea.
