ICC T20 World Cup 2026 Schedule Announcement today

The ICC will reveal the 2026 T20 World Cup schedule on Tuesday evening, with India and Sri Lanka co-hosting. Defending champions India, now led by Suryakumar Yadav after the retirement of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, will prepare to host matches across multiple venues. The tournament begins February 7, featuring 20 teams.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) is set to unveil the schedule for the 2026 T20 World Cup on Tuesday evening.

The tournament will be co-hosted by defending champions India and Sri Lanka, marking the first major ICC event in the subcontinent since India's title win in 2024. The previous edition, held in the USA and West Indies, ended India's long ICC trophy drought under Rohit Sharma's captaincy.

With Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli now retired from T20Is, Suryakumar Yadav is set to lead India's title defence. The tournament is set to begin from February 7, with India preparing to host matches across multiple shortlisted venues alongside Pakistan.

ICC Men's Cricket T20 World Cup returns

India and Sri Lanka will jointly host the event, with India having shortlisted Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai as potential venues. Three Sri Lankan venues are expected to host matches, though ICC has yet to confirm which ones.

As per an existing agreement between the boards, the India–Pakistan league match will be staged in Colombo. If Sri Lanka reach the semi-finals, they will play in Colombo; if Pakistan reach the final, the summit clash will be shifted to a neutral venue.

As per a report by ESPNcricinfo, the marquee clash between Men in Blue and Pakistan is scheduled for February 15. India, the reigning champions, find itself in a group with Namibia, Netherlands, the USA and Pakistan.

T20 Men's World Cup qualified teams

The 20 participating teams are: India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, South Africa, United States, West Indies, Ireland, New Zealand, Pakistan, Canada, Netherlands, Italy, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Nepal, Oman and UAE.

When will the ICC announce the T20 World Cup 2026 schedule?

The official schedule will be released at 6:30 PM IST on Tuesday. The announcement will be broadcast live on both television and mobile platforms.
