People often come across abandoned luxury cars on roads. In several cases, these are older models that have been discontinued. However, a video is gaining significant attention on the internet as it shows a two-year-old BMW X7 SUV accumulating dust and pollution on the side of a road.
The price of the vehicle is estimated to be around Rs 1.5 to Rs 1.7 crore.
2-Year-old Abandoned BMW X7 Goes Viral
In the clip shared on Instagram, the BMW vehicle with Individual Tanzanite Blue metallic colour can be seen collecting dust on the side of a road. From the video, it appears that the SUV has remained parked for a few weeks now.

While the vehicle itself is expensive, another major highlight of the video is that it has a VIP registration number of “0001," which itself is acquired after paying a lot of money.
As the clip highlights both sides and the rear profile of the vehicle, viewers can note that there are no significant damages to the car, apart from a few handprints.
The abandoned vehicle has sparked curiosity among social media users, with many of them expressing their views in the comments section of the post.
“Sometimes it's Mumbai's dust and pollution that makes the vehicles look abandoned," one person wrote.
Another Instagram user joked, “Car nhi to number hi de de…..mujhe (Give the number, if not the car, to me)."
A third person said, “Mumbai main aisa hi hota hai (This happens in Mumbai)."
“Richness overflows," commented another user.
Who Owns The Vehicle?
According to Cartoq, the vehicle has not been abandoned and was rather seized by the Mumbai Police Crime Branch. The report has linked the vehicle to Aashish Dinesh Kumar Shah, who was allegedly taken into custody from Madhya Pradesh for cheating more than 400 investors of a total sum of Rs 170 crore.
The incident came to light in July 2024. Shah is said to have opened a firm, named Samaryash Trading Company, in 2022 and started its office in Mumbai's Versova. He allegedly told people that he is a SEBI-registered agent and assured them to return their investment with 84 per cent interest annually, The Indian Express reported.
At that time, an official said that Shah used to show photographs of his lavish lifestyle and claim that he owns a big house, vehicles and an office that he earned by investing in the stock market. Initially, he gave high returns to people for their investments. After that, more people started providing their savings to him.
Later on, Shah allegedly stopped returning the money to people, and then the victims approached the police. A preliminary inquiry was initiated in May 2024 in the matter.
Police earlier informed that Shah cheated investors from Mumbai, Mira-Bhayandar and Tamil Nadu. The FIR against Shah was registered at the Versova police station for cheating investors to the tune of Rs 11.50 crore. When more depositors approached the police, the amount of cheating increased to Rs 170 crore, as per Hindustan Times.
The police also recovered 1,900 grams of gold and Rs 25 lakh in cash from Shah.
