All it takes is an unexpected twist in a simple dance video for the Internet to take notice. A recent clip going viral online is proof. Featuring a father and his 22-year-old daughter, the video has caught widespread attention for all the right reasons, and honestly, it is hard to stop watching once you hit play.
What makes it even better is not just dancing but the swag, surprise moments and one iconic move: the moonwalk. Also known as the backslide, the moonwalk is a popping dance move where the dancer appears to move forward while actually sliding backwards. It was made globally famous by Michael Jackson in 1983, and ever since, people across the world have tried to recreate it.

The video starts off like any regular reel. A woman is seen dancing to Jackson’s iconic Billie Jean. The overlay text reads, “I was recording, but then this happened." And what follows is exactly what has now become the Internet’s latest obsession.
Out of nowhere, her father steps in and takes over the frame. He matches the smoothness of Jackson’s style and begins dancing with ease. He doesn’t just dance, he moonwalks. And not just any moonwalk but one done so easily in slippers (chappals) that viewers can’t stop talking about it.

Shared just a day ago, the video turned into a viral hit as it racked up more than fifteen million views. Social media users were clearly impressed by the father’s unexpected talent.
