JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Application Correction Begins; Edit Forms By Tomorrow
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the application correction window for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 Session 2. Candidates who have already registered can make changes to their application form through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, till February 28, 11.50 pm.
The edit facility is available to two groups of applicants: those who had appeared in Session 1 and also applied for Session 2, and candidates who registered only for Session 2.
What existing candidates can change
Students who registered for Session 1 between October 31 and November 27, 2025, and later submitted a Session 2 application between February 1 and 25, 2026, can modify several details.
They can change their chosen paper (course), medium of the question paper, state code of eligibility, preferred exam cities from available options, Class 10 and 12 academic details, gender, category and identity proof details if they had not used Aadhaar during registration. Fee-related corrections will also be allowed wherever applicable.
NTA may charge an additional correction fee depending on the changes made.
What Session 2-only candidates can edit
Candidates who applied only during the February 1 to 25 Session 2 registration window will have limited editing options. They cannot change their mobile number, email ID, permanent or present address, emergency contact details or uploaded photograph.
However, they can update their name or parents’ names, academic details, state code of eligibility, date of birth, gender, category, sub-category or PwD status if not verified through the UDID portal, signature and selected paper. If the address is changed, they may also be able to revise the exam city and medium of the question paper. Identity proof details can be edited only if Aadhaar was not used earlier.
After the correction window closes, NTA will release the advance city intimation slip, followed by the Session 2 admit cards mentioning exam date, shift and allotted centre.

Step 2: Click on the “JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Application Correction" link
Step 3: Log in using your application number and password or date of birth
Step 4: Open the application form and edit the permitted fields
Step 5: Review all details carefully
Step 6: Pay the additional correction fee, if required
Step 7: Submit the form and download the confirmation page for future reference
Candidates are advised to check every detail carefully before final submission, as no further changes will be allowed after the deadline.
