‘1 Minute Of Thrill Cost Me Everything’: Woman Shares Frightening Goa Parasailing Incident After Rope Tightens Around Her Neck
A woman has shared a frightening parasailing experience from Goa after an adventure activity nearly turned dangerous in the middle of the sea. The woman said what began as a fun ride quickly became a terrifying moment that left her shaken.
The incident was shared on Instagram by Sushmitha Gowrav, who posted a video and described how the parasailing rope tightened around her neck after she fell into the water. In the caption, she wrote, “1 minute of thrill… almost cost me everything."
The clip shows parts of the parasailing activity before things suddenly go wrong. According to her, the situation changed within seconds, leaving her panicked and struggling in the sea.
Explaining what happened, Gowrav wrote, “What started as a fun parasailing experience in Goa ended with me struggling in the middle of the sea. I fell into the water, the rope tightened around my neck, and suddenly there was panic, silence, and fear. No camera can capture that feeling when you realise you are no longer in control."
She said she was eventually rescued and called herself lucky for surviving the incident. “I was lucky, someone came and saved me, but not everyone gets that second chance," she added.
The woman also used the post to warn others about taking safety seriously before trying adventure water sports during the holidays.
“Before you try any water sport, ask questions, check safety measures, and trust your instincts, because some experiences do not just remain memories, they turn into trauma," she wrote.

The video later drew many reactions online, with several users expressing concern over safety standards during water sports activities.
A user wrote, “This is so scary. Safety should never be taken lightly, especially in water sports." Another commented, “Glad you are safe. People really need to check the safety standards before booking these activities."
A person said, “This could have ended very badly. Operators must be held responsible for proper safety checks." Someone wrote, “Goa water sports look fun, but incidents like this show how important trained staff and proper equipment are."
Some users also reacted to the behaviour of people seen around the incident. A comment read, “Someone is battling for their life and people are laughing, that’s what makes me mad more about humans."
Another person wrote, “Adventure sports are never fully safe and secure. Accident kahi b ho skta h. And aise accident India se bahar b hote hain but India jitna data sasta ni h na kahi na hi itni aabadi jo ye cheeze capture ho bahar ki n viral ho."
