UGC NET 2025 Application Ends Tomorrow; Correction Window Opens On Nov 10

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the registration process for the UGC NET December 2025 examination tomorrow, November 7, 2025, by 11:50 PM. Candidates who wish to appear for the exam can apply online through the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

The application correction window will be open from November 10 to 12, 2025, allowing candidates to make necessary changes to their submitted forms. The NTA will announce the exam date, admit card, and city intimation details at a later date.

The application fee varies by category: General (Unreserved) candidates must pay Rs 1,150, General-EWS and OBC-NCL candidates need to pay Rs 600, and SC, ST, PwD, and Third Gender candidates have to pay Rs 325. Payment can be made online through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

Step 1 — To register, candidates need to visit the official website and click on the “UGC NET December 2025 Registration" link.

Step 2 — They must first complete the registration process by entering basic details and creating a password.

Step 3 — After that, they can fill in the application form with personal and academic details, upload scanned documents, and pay the examination fee.

Step 4 — Once the process is complete, applicants are advised to download and print the confirmation page for future reference.

The University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test is conducted annually in June and December for candidates aspiring to qualify for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) positions in Indian universities and colleges. The UGC NET certificate is valid for three years for those applying for JRF roles. For the post of Assistant Professor/Lectureship, the certificate is valid for life.

The exam will be held for 85 subjects in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format and will consist of two papers. The first paper includes 50 questions valued at 100 marks, assessing general skills like awareness, reading comprehension, reasoning, research aptitude, and teaching ability. Paper 2 will concentrate on the candidate's chosen subject, featuring 100 questions valued at 200 marks.
