TTD Vaikunta Dwara Darshan 2025: The sacred occasion of Vaikunta Ekadasi marks the opening of the sacred Vaikunta Dwaram at the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam. This is the northern entrance to the sanctum sanctorum of the Tirumala Temple, which remains closed throughout the year and opens only during Vaikunta Ekadasi. It is believed that Lord Vishnu himself opens this gate for the devotees to reach his abode, Vaikuntha and free themselves from the cycle of birth and death. This year, Vaikunta Ekadasi will be observed on 30th December 2025.
Below, we have mentioned all the important information regarding the date, rules, online booking and other details for the Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam at the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.
The Vaikunta Dwara Darshan opens on 30th December 2025, Tuesday, until 8th January 2026, Friday.
The Vaikunta Dwaram will be opened at 03:00 AM on 30th December 2025 and will be closed at 11:59 PM on 8th December 2025.
On the auspicious occasion of Vaikuntha Ekadashi, Lord Sri Malayappa Swamy, along with his consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi, will embark on a grand procession. This procession will be carried out in a magnificent golden chariot.
Time: This event will take place between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
The festival concludes on the day following Ekadashi, which is Vaikuntha Dwadashi. The main highlight of this day is the sacred Chakra Snanam.
Lord Sudarshana Chakra will be given a ritual bath in the Swami Pushkarini (the temple's sacred pond).
Time: This auspicious ceremony will be performed very early in the morning, between 5:30 AM and 6:30 AM. With this sacred bath, the Vaikuntha Ekadashi festival will come to an end.
Walking through the Vaikunta Dwara, the temple's holy gateway on Vaikuntha Ekadashi holds utmost significance. As per the legends, Lord Vishnu opened the gates for his devotees to enter Vaikuntha, his home. It is believed that going through this sacred passage on this day washes away all sins and helps one reach moksha. This gate is open for just 10 days during Dhanurmas. It is also believed that visiting this place and having darshan here is equivalent to the merit gained from visiting all the holy pilgrimage sites.

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has made special arrangements for Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan in 2025-26. If you wish to have darshan, the ₹300 Special Entry Darshan (SED) tickets and Sri Vani Trust tickets can be booked online through the TTD's official website.
Due to anticipated crowds, tickets for the first three days (December 30 to January 1) were allocated through a lucky draw (e-DIP), while the quota for the remaining days is being released periodically. Please note that obtaining offline tokens during these 10 days is difficult, and darshan is not permitted without a valid ticket. Therefore, devotees are advised to book their slots online in advance and carry their Aadhaar card.
– First, go to the official TTD website ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in. You can also use the ‘TTDevasthanams' mobile app.
– Enter your mobile number and click on ‘Generate OTP'. Enter the OTP received on your mobile phone to log in.
– Go to the menu and click on the ‘Special Entry Darshan (₹300)' or ‘Vaikunta Dwara Darshan' link.
– Choose your preferred date from the calendar. Green colour indicates available slots. Then select the available time slot.
– Fill in the name, age, gender, and Aadhaar card number for all individuals who will be attending the darshan accurately.
– Complete the payment using net banking, debit/credit card, or UPI.
– After successful payment, download your ticket and take a printout. Carrying the original Aadhaar card is mandatory during the darshan.
– Attire for Darshan (Only traditional Indian attire is permitted for darshan)
For Men: White or light-coloured dhoti and kurta, or dhoti and angavastram (a cloth draped over the shoulder). Pants, shirts, or jeans are not permitted for darshan.
For Women: Saree or salwar-kameez with a dupatta. Ensure the dupatta is worn properly. Western attire, such as jeans, tops, or skirts should be avoided.
– It is mandatory to carry your original Aadhaar card during darshan. Entry will not be permitted without the original IDs.
– Mobile phones, cameras, smartwatches, or any other electronic devices are strictly prohibited inside the temple. These must be deposited in the lockers outside.
– Arrive at the reporting point at least 1-2 hours before the time slot mentioned on your ticket. Delays may result in missing your darshan opportunity.
– Minimise the amount of jewellery or valuables you carry, as the crowds are very large.
