Tirupati: Ahead of the annual Ratha Saptami festival at Tirumala, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has announced a temporary suspension of Sarva Darshan token issuance for three days to manage the expected surge of devotees.
According to the official notification, Sarva Darshan tokens for next day darshan will not be issued on January 23, 24 and 25 at the three designated token distribution centres in Tirupati. This decision has been taken in view of crowd regulation and festival arrangements during Ratha Saptami.
TTD clarified that tokens for darshan on January 23 will be issued on Thursday, as per the existing schedule. The issuance of Sarva Darshan tokens will resume on January 26, once the festival concludes.
To avoid confusion among devotees, TTD has installed special notice boards at all concerned token counters, informing pilgrims about the temporary suspension and revised schedule.
Ratha Saptami is considered one of the most significant festivals at Tirumala, marking the ceremonial procession of Lord Venkateswara on different vahanas. The temple witnesses a massive influx of pilgrims during this period, prompting the administration to take advance crowd control measures.
Devotees planning their Tirumala visit are advised to check darshan schedules in advance and follow official TTD updates to ensure a smooth pilgrimage experience.
