A family recently had a shocking experience when their newly purchased Mahindra Thar Roxx SUV crashed through the first-floor wall of a showroom and fell 15 feet to the ground below. Miraculously, everyone walked away without injury. This incident made headlines, and now, a funny video is grabbing attention online for its unique take on the whole situation.
In the video, Mumbai-based writer and comedian Kautuk Srivastava shares a hilarious conspiracy theory about the Mahindra Thar. He claims that every bizarre incident involving this SUV is not just random stupidity but a clever marketing strategy by Mahindra to highlight the car's amazing features.
Every Dumb Thar Incident Is A Genius Ad
The video opens with Srivastava saying, “Here's a conspiracy theory about the Mahindra Thar. It seems like we are living through a ‘Thardemic' right now, where every single day there is a new crazy story about someone driving this car doing something stupid."
“It is so frequent that there has to be a reason behind it, and that's my conspiracy theory. I think that every single dumb incident involving a Thar is actually a genius marketing ploy to let you know about its amazing features," he added.
He then talks about the recent incident where a woman in Delhi crashed her brand-new Thar out of a showroom during a lemon (nimbu) ritual for good luck. The car fell from the first floor, yet no one was harmed. The man says, “It's ridiculous, but it's also a great ad for how safe this car is."
Thar's Off-Road and Passenger Capacity in Action
Next, Srivastava shows a video clip of the Thar handling a tough off-road turn with ease. He comments, “Here's an ad about the Thar's off-road capabilities," calling it beautiful. Then, another clip shows several people standing on the footboard of the moving Thar, as he quips, “Here's an ad about how many passengers a Thar can hold, as long as the passengers can also hold on to the Thar."
Thar Doubles Up As A Party Vehicle
In the final part of the video, he plays a clip of a group of people dancing on the Thar during what seems to be a wedding function. He says, “This is a demonstration of my favourite feature, the Thar doubles up as a nightclub. Can you do this with your hatchback? Forget the i20, this is literally you plus 20. I'm telling you, the Thar's marketing team has cracked it."
