Shah Rukh Khan Reacts After Unveiling DDLJ Statue With Kajol In London: ‘Bade Bade Deshon Mein…’

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan reunited with his Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) co-star Kajol in London's Leicester Square to unveil a bronze statue commemorating the 30th anniversary of the iconic film. Several pictures and videos of SRK and Kajol unveiling the DDLJ statue went viral on social media. They were also joined by Kajol's children Yug and Nysa Devgan. Now, Shah Rukh Khan has shared a note on social media, expressing his delight over the unveiling of the statue in London. He mentioned that it is the first Indian film to be honoured with a statue in the Scenes in the Square Sculpture Trail in Leicester Square.

Shah Rukh Khan's Note After Unveiling DDLJ Statue In London

On Thursday night, Shah Rukh Khan took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a note that read, “Bade Bade Deshon Mein, Aisi Chhoti Chhoti Baatein Hoti Rehti Hain, Senorita! Thrilled to unveil the bronze statue of Raj & Simran at London's Leicester Square today, celebrating 30 years of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ)! Incredibly delighted that DDLJ is the first Indian film to be honoured with a statue in the Scenes in the Square trail. A big thank you to everyone in the UK for making this possible. Meanwhile, several photos shared by SRK's fan clubs showed Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol posing in their signature style in front of bronze statue. The actor looked handsome in a black suit while Kajol radiated elegance in a blue saree.

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, starring the beloved pair of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, continues to be one of the greatest love stories in Indian cinema history. It is safe to say that their iconic chemistry and the film's unforgettable dialogues make DDLJ not just a film but a feeling and celebration of cinema. Directed by Aditya Chopra, DDLJ released in 1995, and remains one of Bollywood's most successful and, continuing to run in select theatres even today.
