Stock Market Live Updates, Share Market News Today: Indian benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty50 ended lower on Tuesday, weighed down by the monthly expiry of Nifty F&O contracts for the November series.
At close, the BSE Sensex settled at 84,587.01, slipping 313.7 points or 0.37%, while the NSE Nifty50 ended at 25,884.8, down 74.7 points or 0.29%.
On the Sensex, Trent, Tata Motors PV, HCLTech, Infosys, and Power Grid were among the top losers, while BEL, SBI, Tata Steel, and Eternal emerged as the key gainers.
Sector-wise, Nifty Realty and Nifty PSU Bank outperformed, advancing 1.62% and 1.44%, respectively. On the downside, Nifty IT dropped 0.57% and Nifty Media fell 0.8%.
Broader markets fared better, with the Nifty Midcap 100 rising 0.36% and the Nifty Smallcap 100 gaining 0.19%.

Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty gave up their day's gains on November 25 and were trading lower in a volatile trading session. At 15:05 hrs IST, the Sensex was down 312.27 points or 0.37 percent at 84,588.44, and the Nifty was down 76.25 points or 0.29 percent at 25,883.25. About 1,908 shares advanced, 1,886 shares declined, and 145 shares were unchanged.
City Union Bank saw another large block trade, with 1.82 million shares reportedly exchanged, according to Bloomberg. The stock was trading at Rs 274.45, up Rs 2.90 (1.07%) in intraday trade.
The counter hit an intraday high of Rs 277.40 and a low of Rs 268.30, with total volumes surging to 56.11 lakh shares- a massive 1,868% jump compared to the five-day average of 2.85 lakh shares.

BLS International Services on Tuesday said it has signed a contract with the Embassy of Cyprus in Russia to provide comprehensive visa outsourcing services. Under this agreement, BLS International will oversee Cyprus visa application operations in Russia, establishing centres across nine major cities and offering streamlined, secure, and customer-friendly visa services, the company said in a statement.
“This collaboration with the Embassy of Cyprus in Russia is a meaningful milestone that reflects the trust placed in us to deliver services with integrity and global standards. Through this collaboration, we aim to ensure that travellers to Cyprus benefit from a seamless, clear, and efficient experience as we continue to drive innovation in international mobility,” BLS International Joint Managing Director Shikhar Aggarwal said.
Shares of BLS International Services were trading lower by 0.85% at Rs 313.25 apiece on the NSE.

Indian government bonds gained in early trade on Tuesday, extending the previous session's rally as dovish remarks from the Reserve Bank of India chief strengthened expectations of a rate cut next month.
The benchmark 10-year bond yield stood at 6.5085% at 10:20 a.m. IST, after touching a two-week low of 6.5017%. This follows Monday's close of 6.5194%, which was 5 basis points lower. (Bond yields move inversely to prices.)
RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra, in an interview with a local media outlet, said there is scope for further policy rate cuts, reinforcing the market's optimism.
In the interest rate swap (OIS) market, the one-year rate was at 5.4250%, while the two-year rate held at 5.42%. The five-year OIS rate eased to 5.71%, extending Monday's 6-basis-point decline.
