Samsung’s First Tri-Foldable Device Might Have Its Name And Specs Revealed
Samsung is making its first tri-foldable device and it is likely to be called Galaxy Z TriFold. The name and other details about the product have been shared by reliable tipster Evan Blass aka EvLeaks via a post on X.
The name TriFold is an easy giveaway and allows Samsung to continue the Z series lineup but with a completely new product. Many tipped the brand to go with a new Galaxy G moniker but that seems unlikely after the new leak.
The tri-fold device is not a new concept with Huawei and Tecno showcasing their market ready and concept products, respectively, in recent times. In fact, Huawei has already moved to its second-gen version, but its availability is limited which gives Samsung a good footing to start with.
Samsung Tri-Fold Device Specs Leak: What To Expect
The Galaxy Z TriFold will have a 6.5-inch cover display and the inner unit can unfold to give you a 10-inch screen.
Samsung is tipped to offer a 200MP main camera at the back, as hinted by Blass, and pack a 5,437mAh battery which is bigger than its regular Folds in the market. Samsung has done a showcase for the device in South Korea at an event recently, which suggests the December 2025 unveiling for the product is not very far-fetched.
The design of the TriFold will be intriguing because of the triple layer foldable nature. Blass suggests the unfolded state could give us a 4.2mm frame, while the folded version could be as thick as 14mm which seems quite unlikely.

Multiple reports say Samsung could have the event in early December and make the product available in early 2026. However, the brand could limit its availability to select parts of the world, and the US is unlikely to make the cut in the first phase, including India.
The Galaxy Z TriFold is expected to be priced a lot higher than the current Z Fold series, which could take it well past the Rs 2.3 lakh figure for different variants. We're eager to see how Samsung manages to make the software work and entice people into buying its device, possibly with a slew of accessories.
