Ruben Amorim Does NOT Want Marcus Rashford Back At Man United Under Any Circumstance: Report

Barcelona are bracing for a pivotal 2026, and near the top of their priority list sits the future of Marcus Rashford.

The England international, who arrived on loan from Manchester United last summer, has been one of the bright spots in Barcelona's evolving frontline.

With six goals and nine assists so far, Rashford has offered flashes of real quality, even if there are still areas where he's refining his game.

Barcelona hold a €30–35 million buy option, but have not yet reached a final decision.

All signs, however, point toward the club wanting to keep hold of the forward, especially with the situation at Old Trafford working heavily in their favour.

Amorim doesn't want Rashford back

According to local Manchester reports cited by Diario SPORT, United manager Rúben Amorim is not planning for Rashford in his long-term project.

Still, some uncertainty lingers. A managerial change at Old Trafford could shift the equation, though United's improved form this season gives Amorim more breathing room, and by extension, maintains a favourable climate for Barcelona regarding Rashford's future.

A separate report from Fichajes adds further clarity, noting that while Barcelona can secure Rashford for €35 million, United's fallback plan would be to list him at around €40 million should Barça pass and another buyer be needed.

One conclusion, though, appears inescapable: Rashford's time at Manchester United is over.

With Amorim having rebuilt his attack around Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, and Benjamin Šeško, there's little room for the 28-year-old to return.

After spending his entire career at United before this loan, Rashford seems revitalized by his fresh start. Both clubs now look aligned toward ensuring that this fresh start becomes a permanent one.
