Ticket sales for the Republic Day Parade 2026 and associated ceremonial events will begin on January five, according to official information released by the Ministry of Defence. The ticketing window will cover the Republic Day Parade, the Full Dress Rehearsal of the Beating Retreat, and the main Beating Retreat ceremony, all of which form part of the national celebrations marking India's Republic Day.
The Republic Day Parade will be held on January 26 at Kartavya Path in New Delhi. This will be followed by the Full Dress Rehearsal of the Beating Retreat on January 28, while the main Beating Retreat ceremony is scheduled for the evening of January 29 at Vijay Chowk.
Tickets for the Republic Day Parade on January twenty-six will be available in two categories priced at Rs one hundred and Rs twenty. The Full Dress Rehearsal of the Beating Retreat on January 28 will have tickets priced at Rs twenty. Tickets for the main Beating Retreat ceremony on January 29 will be sold at Rs 100.
Ticket sales for all three events will be open from January 5 to January 14. Sales will begin daily from 9 am and will continue until the allotted quota for the day is exhausted.
Members of the public can book tickets online through the official Aamantran portal of the Ministry of Defence at aamantran.mod.gov.in. The website allows users to select the event, choose the ticket category and complete the booking process digitally.
For entry to any of the events, ticket holders must carry the same original photo identity card that was used at the time of booking. Accepted identity documents include Aadhaar card, voter ID, driving licence, PAN card, passport or an identity card issued by the Central or State government.
Tickets will also be available through offline counters in New Delhi from January five to January fourteen. Six locations have been designated for physical ticket sales. These include Sena Bhawan near Gate Number five, Shastri Bhawan near Gate Number three, Jantar Mantar at the main gate, the Parliament House reception, Rajiv Chowk Metro Station at D Block near Gates 3 and 4 and Kashmere Gate Metro Station at the concourse level near Gate Number 8.
At these counters, tickets will be sold in two daily slots, from 10 am to 1 pm and again from 2 pm to 5 pm. Buyers must produce an original photo identity card at the counter.
Republic Day commemorates the adoption of the Constitution of India on January twenty-six, nineteen fifty, marking the country's transition into a sovereign republic. The date also holds historical significance as it coincides with the Indian National Congress' declaration of Purna Swaraj in 1930.
The Beating Retreat ceremony, held annually on January 29, formally concludes the Republic Day celebrations. The event features performances by military bands from the Army, Navy and Air Force, along with bands from the Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces, paying tribute to the discipline, valour and sacrifice of India's armed forces.
