Following the incident, authorities have shut the Red Fort for three days, Lal Qila Metro Station and imposed heavy traffic restrictions across the area.
The Delhi Police and security agencies have intensified patrolling, while forensic teams continue to examine the blast site. As part of precautionary measures, the national capital has been placed on high alert, with additional checks being conducted at airports, railway stations, and bus terminals.
Red Fort Metro Station closed for security reasons

In a post on X, DMRC said, “Service Update: Lal Qila Metro Station is closed due to security reasons. All other stations are functional as normal.”

Red Fort blast: Delhi Traffic Police issues diversion advisory
The Delhi Traffic Police has implemented emergency traffic diversions on Netaji Subhash Marg, restricting vehicle movement between Chatta Rail Cut and Subhash Marg Cut.The advisory reads, “Due to exigencies, traffic restrictions and diversions will be in place in both carriageways and service roads on Netaji Subhash Marg from Chatta Rail Cut to Subhash Marg Cut.”
Commuters have been urged to avoid the route from 6 am until further orders and take alternate roads for a smooth journey.
Delhi on high alert after blast
