Rapper Lil Nas X Goes Viral Again After Video of Him Throwing Cash At Male Stripper Surfaces
Lil Nas X is back in the spotlight after a video showing him throwing cash at a male stripper during a night out in West Hollywood began circulating online.
The footage, first shared by TMZ, reportedly shows the rapper at The Abbey, a well-known LGBTQ nightclub in West Hollywood, on Saturday night. In the clip, Lil Nas X can be seen approaching the stage with stacks of cash while male dancers performed in front of a crowd.
According to reports, three male strippers were performing when the rapper repeatedly returned to the stage to toss money at one particular dancer. Witnesses told TMZ that he moved back and forth between the stage and the bar area during the night while club staff kept watch over his cash.
The video quickly spread across social media, with reactions ranging from amusement to debate over the timing of the outing.
The attention comes only weeks after Lil Nas X resolved a legal case linked to his arrest in Los Angeles last year. In August 2025, the rapper, whose real name is Montero Hill, was taken into custody after an incident involving police officers in Studio City. Authorities alleged that he charged at officers and resisted arrest.
The charges were later upgraded to felony counts, including battery on police officers. However, in April 2026, a judge granted him mental health diversion after hearing that his behaviour had been linked to bipolar disorder. Under the agreement, the charges can eventually be dismissed if he continues treatment and avoids further legal trouble over the next two years.
Lil Nas X has remained active publicly since then, continuing appearances and music-related promotions. Known for frequently generating conversation online, the rapper has often leaned into controversy and internet culture throughout his career.
He first rose to global fame with “Old Town Road" in 2019 before becoming one of the most talked-about pop artists online, particularly for his visuals, performances and public image.
The latest club footage has once again pushed him into viral discussions, with clips from the night continuing to circulate across entertainment accounts and social platforms.
