This phone is unique because it was designed in collaboration with tech community fans. The company incorporated contributions from creators in everything from hardware and software to accessories and marketing. Only 1,000 units will be produced worldwide. What is the price?
The Nothing Phone (3a) Community Edition is priced at ₹28,999 in India. It will only be available in a 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The company has clearly stated that only 1,000 units will be manufactured worldwide. In India, it can be purchased on December 13, 2025, at a limited drop event from 2 PM to 6 PM at 33 & Brew, Prestige Technostar, Bengaluru.
How the phone became special: A result of the community's hard work
This phone was created under the Nothing Community Edition Project, which received over 700 entries, and four key creators were selected. The hardware and packaging were designed by Emre Kayganacl, drawing inspiration from 90s and 2000s tech design. The look and design of this model specifically evoke memories of the old technological era, making it a collectible phone.
Software and UI: New lock screen clock and exclusive wallpapers
On the software side, Jad Zock created a custom lock screen clock with variable weights to make the font clearer and easier to read. The phone also comes with four exclusive wallpapers that match its colors and interface. This makes the phone's UI extremely clean, attractive, and premium. Accessories and Marketing: First-Ever Collectible Dice and ‘Made Together' Campaign
This year, an accessories category was added for the first time, featuring a collectible die designed by Ambrogio Tacconi and Louis Aymonod. It utilizes Nothing's Ndot 55 font and global play symbols. The ‘Made Together' marketing campaign, created by Sushruta Sarkar, highlights this community creation process.
Specifications and Features
The Phone 3a Community Edition features a 6.77-inch flexible AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, coupled with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It runs on Nothing OS 3.5 based on Android 15 out of the box. Nothing has equipped the Phone 3a Community Edition with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33W charging. The charger is not included in the box.
