OnePlus 15 Set For Big Design Changes And Major Camera Upgrades: Know More
OnePlus 15 (yes, no 14) launch is expected later this year and early signs about the device suggest the company could make some major changes with its next flagship. OnePlus works with Oppo which means its access to technology has enhanced in recent years. But the brand is now looking to go beyond its close approach and build a different path for its future products.
The OnePlus 13 successor could feature a fresh design, which feels overdue by now, and some intriguing plans in place for its imaging tech on the flagship devices.
OnePlus 15 Leak Design And Camera Upgrades
The design change has been revealed with latest OnePlus 15 leaks which shows the brand going for a square camera module. Even the whole frame looks to be flatter and more like the OnePlus 9 or 10 series rather than OnePlus 12 or even 13 models. The company is likely to adopt the silicon carbon tech once again which should allow them to offer a 7,000mAh or higher battery unit with the device.
But the biggest difference with the OnePlus 15 could be its camera tech. Reports this week claim the brand wants to adopt its own imaging engine which suggests the Hasselblad association will now remain exclusive to Oppo devices.
Getting Better?
OnePlus has the best hardware on its flagships but the cameras continue to feel limiting, even though their quality has improved. Having its own camera solution could help them tune the hardware with the refined software in a better way.

It does seem like the new tech will be more than just a marketing push and we could see a Zeiss/Leica like impact for OnePlus phones, something that Vivo and Xiaomi have utilised with its recent flagships. This means, the low light photography could see changes, and other aspects like colour tuning being focused around its hardware.
OnePlus 15 should be using the new Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC that will be official later this month. But if OnePlus does manage to upstage its older camera features, this could be the flagship with all-round value.
