Akshay Kumar and Rani Mukerji are set to collaborate for Oh My God 3. Directed by Amit Rai, the film is currently in pre-production and will go on floors in mid-2026.
In a major casting development, Rani Mukerji has reportedly come on board Oh My God 3, joining Akshay Kumar in the much-loved franchise. The move brings together two of Hindi cinema's most iconic stars from the 1990s and is being seen as one of the biggest casting coups in recent years.
According to PinkVilla, the actress's inclusion is set to significantly elevate the scale and emotional weight of the third instalment.

A source close to the project revealed that Rani's entry has added both freshness and gravitas to the narrative. “This is easily one of the biggest castings in recent years. Oh My God is among Akshay Kumar's most loved franchises, and it's only getting bigger with Rani Mukerji joining the film. Her presence will add immense gravitas and freshness to the narrative,” the source said.
The insider also shared that Akshay Kumar was keen on expanding the scope of the franchise with the third film and wanted every aspect to feel larger and more impactful.

Oh My God 3 is currently in the pre-production stage and is expected to go on floors by mid-2026. Director Amit Rai, who helmed OMG 2, has reportedly cracked a story that is more ambitious, socially relevant, and hard-hitting than the previous instalments.
“Director Amit Rai has cracked a story that is bigger, more relevant, and hard-hitting than the earlier films. Akshay was clear that OMG 3 had to scale up in every aspect, from story and emotions to performances. Rani coming on board has made the film even bigger,” the source added.
