‘O Laal Pari, Kithe Chali?’: Woman Alleges 6-Year-Old Eve Teased Her Inside A Posh Society
A casual evening walk inside her residential society turned into a deeply unsettling experience for a woman. In a video shared online, she narrated how she was allegedly eve-teased by a boy as young as six years old, which left her shocked and disturbed.
The clip, uploaded on Instagram with an overlay text, “A 6-year-old eve-teased me inside my own society," shows the woman explaining the entire incident. She begins by showing what she was wearing that day: a red top and a long white skirt. She also mentioned that the rent in her society is over Rs 50,000, adding, “So, you can make out of what kind of society I stay in."

Here's What Happened
The woman claimed she was taking a walk and passed by a group of children. Suddenly, one boy from the group made a demeaning remark: “O laal pari, kithe chali?"
The other kids burst out laughing, which made the situation even worse. In her caption, the woman noted, “The same line grown men use to harass women on streets."
At first, she was too stunned to react. What hurt her further was noticing the society's watchman laughing along instead of intervening.
The Remarks Continued
The woman shared that when she walked past the kids again, the same boy shouted: “Kon hain tu, chalegi kya (Who are you, will you come with me?)."
This remark, she said, completely “flipped" her mind. She confronted the boy, after which the security guard stepped in and told the child to apologise. But the apology was half-hearted, and the boy ran away immediately after.
Reaction From The Security Guard
The guard then tried to explain the situation to her. He insisted that the child came from a “good family background" and was probably just joking. He said he did not think the woman would be offended.
This reasoning left the woman more upset. For her, the issue was not about a child's joke but about normalising behaviour that can later grow into harassment.
In her caption, she wrote: “But I didn't find it funny. Because this is where it begins. A child doesn't invent such words — he hears them, sees them, and copies them. If not corrected, this masti becomes harassment."
“A posh gated society, educated parents, ‘good families' — still, a little boy thought it was okay to catcall a grown woman. The guard thought it was harmless fun. It's not. It's a reflection of what we normalize in our homes, our movies, our streets," she continued.
“Children must be taught respect. Not just for women, but for every human being. Because if we dismiss it saying ‘kids are kids', tomorrow it won't just be words — it'll be actions. Eve-teasing is NOT entertainment. It is harassment. And it starts earlier than we think," the caption concluded.
Reactions On Social Media
The video drew strong reactions from viewers. Many supported the woman for speaking up while some felt she should have taken stricter action.
One user commented, “You underreacted. Should have said no, but let's call your parents. And made him an example for other kids."
Another wrote, “The saddest part is that she had to first justify her clothes, time, and the fact that she was inside her society premises, just to not hear the ‘tumhe hi attract kra hoga' shit."
Someone else suggested, “Should've definitely called his parents right there & then. Asked his flat number & gone to his flat. Should have made him into a case study, because not doing anything means teaching them that there are no consequences for his actions!"

After receiving suggestions from online users, the woman reached out to the boy's parents. She shared in the comments, “After all the suggestions from you all I reached out to the Child's parents who were out of town, but today his mother connected with me."
She described the mother as polite and soft-spoken and even apologised on her son's behalf. She also acknowledged that children pick up things from outside and the internet, and it can be difficult for parents to supervise them all the time. The woman confirmed that the child has been made aware of his mistake and that the parents will keep a closer watch going forward.
