Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday predicted a clear win for the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar on the back of what he called strong anti-incumbency playing out against chief minister Nitish Kumar.
The JD(U) leader's lack of commitment to any one political ideology and wavering dalliance with different alliances will go against the national democratic alliance (NDA) this time, helping the INDI alliance wrest power in the 243-member Bihar assembly, he told the media in Mysuru.
Bihar will face two-phase assembly polls on November 6 and November 11.

On Sunday, Deputy CM DK Shivakumar spent some time interacting with Bihari people living in Bengaluru, while campaigning for votes for the Opposition alliance. He has also asked builders and real estate firms in Bengaluru to give 3-day leave to Biharis to enable them to visit their places in the poll-bound state to cast their votes.
Shivakumar, who is also the president of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), met members of Bihar Association and urged them to vote for the Mahaghatbandhan candidates.
The Dy CM acknowledged the hard work of Bihari people behind the modern structures in Bengaluru and promised them a plot of land for their association. The government never discriminated against them as outsiders, he told them.
