Mumbai Man Travelling 4 Cities To Attend BFF's Wedding Reminds Internet Of 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani': 'Enter Like Ranbir Kapoor'
Sometimes a promise isn't just words, it is an action, no matter how many years pass or how many cities you have to cross. A man from Mumbai shared a story on X that perfectly shows the power of friendship. It even reminded people of the film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
Six years ago, he had told his best friend that he would attend her wedding “no matter what." Back then, he jokingly said, “give me a 3 months heads up." This year, she actually sent him a calendar invite for the wedding along with a screenshot of that chat from six years ago. True to his word, he didn't hesitate. Over 10 days, he travelled across four cities and took five flights to make it happen.
On X, he wrote: “6 years ago I had promised my best friend that I would attend her wedding no matter what – I kept joking to her ‘give me a 3 months heads up.' And, this year, she sent me an actual calendar invite for the wedding along with a screenshot of that chat from 6 yrs ago. 4 cities and 5 flights over the past 10 days: I kept that promise today." He also shared a photo of his luggage as he made his way to the airport.

What People Said Online
For many, this post immediately brought back memories of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, a film that revolves around friendship, love and self-discovery.
One user even playfully suggested, “This story is incomplete without an entry like Ranbir Kapoor. Do it!"
Another wrote, “Some people value friendship so much that even your promise is treasured by them. Celebrate these friendships as they are a rare breed."
“I'm gonna never find a friend like this I guess. My friend drops me messages like ‘hi, let's meet', then forgets he's the one who texted to meet for weeks until I call him about my new mental breakdown. Men. Men. Men. So much difference here LOL," a person shared.
“That's so beautiful!" and “You're a good friend," were some other remarks.
