While Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues to dominate conversations for its scale and performances, several supporting actors have also left a lasting impression. Among them is Udaybir Sandhu, whose portrayal of Gurbaaz Singh aka Pinda adds emotional weight and tension to the narrative.
Udaybir Sandhu’s Role In Dhurandhar 2
In the film, Udaybir plays Pinda, Jaskirat Singh Rangi’s childhood friend, who stands firmly by him during one of the darkest phases of his life. Set in Punjab, the story sees Pinda supporting Jaskirat (Ranveer Singh) after a brutal land dispute that destroys his family—an incident that shapes the protagonist’s path of revenge.
Pinda becomes instrumental in helping Jaskirat access weapons through a powerful UP-based politician-gangster, enabling him to strike back.
However, the narrative takes a dramatic turn just before the interval. Years later, Pinda encounters Jaskirat—now living as Hamza—in Pakistan, entangled in a drug-running network tied to terrorism. His chilling line,
“Ghar ki yaad nahi aayi tujhe, Jassi?"
instantly shifts the tone of the film.
Initially feigning ignorance of Hamza’s identity, Pinda’s true awareness soon comes to light, revealing that he has uncovered Jaskirat’s secret as an Indian spy. The moment adds a sharp layer of suspense, marking one of the film’s most gripping twists.
Who Is Udaybir Sandhu?
Udaybir Sandhu hails from Punjab and is a national-level hockey player who transitioned into acting. He made his debut in the 2018 film Gold, where he played Devang Chaturvedi alongside Akshay Kumar.
He later appeared in Imtiaz Ali’s Amar Singh Chamkila on Netflix, portraying Jitender Jinda—a character inspired by real-life folk singer Surinder Shinda. For the role, Udaybir underwent a physical transformation, gaining eight kilos, and shared screen space with Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra.
The actor also marked his Punjabi film debut with Ikk Kudi, starring alongside Shehnaaz Gill, where he played Jagveer Sandhu.

Apart from acting, Udaybir has built a presence in the modelling space and has featured in several advertising campaigns. He continues to grow his fanbase, with nearly 50K followers on Instagram.
