Man Breaks Down After Family Asks Him Not To Come Home For Holi: ‘Mai Kama Raha Hu Yaar...’ | Video
Holi is usually that time of the year when people pack their bags and rush back home. No matter how far work or studies take them, festivals often mean one thing: ghar wapsi (returning home). But for one man, this Holi came with tears instead of colours.
A video of him breaking down during an online chat has now caught widespread attention. It was shared on Instagram by a man who was using Omegle TV, a random video chat app. During one such random connection, he got linked with this visibly emotional man.
Man’s Family Refuses Him To Come Home For Holi
In the clip, the man is seen tearing up while speaking. He says, “Yaar ghar pe aane ke liye mana kar rahe hain, pata nahi kaisi family hai. Ab 4 mahine ho gaye hai aur bolte hai ki 4 mahine mein aakr kya karoge (They are refusing to let me come home, I don’t know what kind of family this is. It’s been four months and they say what will you even do if you come after four months)."
His voice cracks as he explains that his own family had asked him not to come home for Holi.
When asked how far he lived, the man shared that he lives around 100 to 150 kilometres away from his home. He also spoke about earning and handling responsibilities. “Mai kama raha hoon yaar, aisi baat nahi hai, bahut bekar lag raha hai bhai (I am earning, it’s not like that, but I am feeling really terrible)," he added.
The man further mentioned that he genuinely wanted to visit home for Holi but felt it would not be right to go without informing them, especially when they had clearly said no.
“Bhai Holi pe kaun nahi jata hai ghar. Mai bina bataye jaunga toh acha nahi lagega na agar insan samne se mana kar raha hai to (Bro, who doesn’t go home on Holi? If I go without telling them, it won’t feel right when someone has clearly refused)," he said.
The caption of the video read, “Who says men don’t cry. For families they can do everything. Recently I got this person on Omegle TV and he was very emotional and after talking he said this."

Internet Gets Emotional Too
In the comments section, people poured out their emotions and opinions.
One user wrote, “His ‘kama raha hun yr’ was more painful than a stab injury."
Another commented, “They don’t see you as a person, just a utility to them."
“This mentality of society & even families is really cheap. Just because he is a boy and has responsibilities doesn’t mean he doesn’t have emotions. He is a human being- he also needs love, care, and family support," someone else opined.
“That’s a life of a man," a person remarked.
A viewer shared his own story, saying, “Bhai same haal hai, mai bhi ek student hu. Ramzan me mere ghar wale bhi mana kar diye hai. Mai bhi bas 40 km door hu, ghar se par mana kar diye to kya karu (Bro, same situation. I am also a student. During Ramzan, my family also refused. I am just 40 km away from home, but if they have refused, what can I do?)"
Even actress Bandgee Kallra dropped a comment saying, “Stop sending money for 4 months, they will understand."
“Why am I crying after seeing this?" “Hardest moments for men" and “Shame on his family" were some other remarks.
Since being shared online, the video has accumulated nearly eight lakh views. However, News18 could not independently verify the authenticity of the clip.
