Mahhi Vij Shares Health Update From Hospital, Reveals Battling Severe Viral Infection | VIDEO
Television actress Mahhi Vij was admitted to the hospital on Thursday night. Her publicist informed the same on social media, revealing that she had a high fever, due to which doctors admitted her to the hospital. The actress' fans were left concerned, after which Mahhi herself confirmed that she had been hospitalised but assured everyone that she is in safe hands and under the doctors' care. Now, the actress has posted a video message, sharing an update about her health. She revealed that while her tests for dengue, malaria, and typhoid all came back negative, she is suffering from a severe viral infection. She expressed sadness over being unable to shoot for her upcoming show ‘Seher Hone Ko Hai', and said that she is doing everything possible to recover quickly and resume work.
On Friday, Mahhi Vij took to her Instagram to share a video message for fans, from the hospital. She said, “Hi guys, just giving you an update about my health. This morning I got fever and shivers again. My dengue test has come negative. Malaria and typhoid tests have also come negative. It's viral. It's severe viral. What upsets me the most is that I'm not able to go for my shoot. I really want to go. It's my dream project, and I've given it my all. Please keep me in your prayers. Pray that I recover soon and can return to the shoot."
She further added, “I have had plenty of fruits sent from home. I'm trying my best to recover completely by tomorrow and resume work the day after. Thank you so much for praying for me and loving me so much. I love you all. Thanks to all my friends whose calls and video calls I'm not able to answer. I am resting and don't have the energy to talk on the phone. Please understand. Thank you very much for everything. I love you all." In her caption, Mahhi wrote, “Keep me in your prayers." Soon after she shared the video, fans dropped ‘get well soon' messages, and wished for her speedy recovery.

In other news, Mahhi Vij hit the headlines last month after rumours of her divorce surfaced on the Internet. In October, a report by Hindustan Times claimed that the popular television couple filed for divorce a few months ago, and the divorce papers were ‘signed and finalised' in July-August 2025. The report suggested that the custody of their kids has also been decided upon.
“Much was tried, but nothing changed. Separation happened a long time ago. They filed for divorce a couple of months back. The papers have been signed and finalised in July-August, and the custody of the kids has also been decided upon," a source told the portal. However, neither Mahhi nor Jay have reacted to the rumours.
Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali tied the knot in 2011 and are proud parents to three children – their daughter, Tara, born in 2019, and foster children Rajveer and Khushi, whom they adopted in 2017.
