Mahhi Vij Breaks Silence On Divorce Rumours: 'Jay Bhanushali Is My Family'
Mahhi Vij has finally addressed her divorce rumours with Jay Bhanushali. Recently, the actress dropped a video on her YouTube channel and urged everyone not to interfere in their personal life. Mahhi called Jay her “family" and requested everyone not to believe in what they read online.
“Please don't believe any news till I say it myself. Respect our privacy and our children's privacy," she said and then added, “Jay is my family and will always be my family. He's a wonderful father and a wonderful human being."
Mahhi reminded everyone to respect their personal boundaries and requested all not to interfere in their matters. “Until we are not saying anything, you do not have the right to interfere in our personal life," she said.
She then explained how the ongoing rumours have taken a toll on her children and shared, “My son showed me a news report of this. Imagine what's going through them."
Expressing concern for her children's mental health, Mahhi added, “Nowadays every child has a phone. It hampers their mental health," adding, “You just print for likes and comments. Don't put false narratives."
In October, a report by Hindustan Times claimed that the popular television couple filed for divorce a few months ago, and the divorce papers were ‘signed and finalised' in July-August 2025. The report suggested that the custody of their kids has also been decided upon.
“Much was tried, but nothing changed. Separation happened a long time ago. They filed for divorce a couple of months back. The papers have been signed and finalised in July-August, and the custody of the kids has also been decided upon," a source told the portal.
Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali tied the knot in 2011 and are proud parents to three children – daughter Tara, born in 2019, and foster children Rajveer and Khushi, whom they took in 2017.
