Kylian Mbappe Scripts More History; Joins Cristiano Ronaldo In Elite List Of Scorers Who Have...

It seems like Kylian Mbappé just can't stop, won't stop scoring.

Since swapping Paris for Madrid in the summer of 2024, the French superstar has been on an unstoppable tear.

Even though Real Madrid fell short of silverware last season, Mbappé's personal impact has been nothing short of electrifying.

Last week, the 25-year-old added a major feather to his cap: his first-ever European Golden Boot. Mbappé netted 44 goals across all competitions in the 2024–25 season, including 31 in his debut La Liga campaign, to finish ahead of Europe's elite scorers.

And this season, he's raised the bar even higher.

13 – Kylian Mbappé has scored 13 goals in 11 matches in @LaLigaEN 2025/26; only Cristiano Ronaldo had scored 13+ goals in his first 11 matches of a season in the competition with Real Madrid in the 21st century (13 in 2011/12 and 20 in 2014/15).Gold. pic.twitter.com/yDF4qzodM0

With 13 goals in 11 La Liga matches so far in 2025–26, Mbappé has matched a record that only his idol Ronaldo managed to register twice — scoring 13+ goals in the first 11 league games of a season (Ronaldo did it in 2011–12 and 2014–15).

While his numbers echo Cristiano Ronaldo's glory years, Mbappé insists he's not chasing ghosts.

“Everyone knows Cristiano is the benchmark in Madrid. He's number one," Mbappé told MARCA. “He was here for nine years; I've only been here one and a half. I can't compare myself to what he did. My path is different."

Mbappé isn't chasing Ronaldo's shadow. He's building a new one of his own.

“Being mentioned alongside Cristiano is an honor," he added. “But I'm focused on forging my own path, helping the team, and winning every title possible."

“I hope to win another Golden Boot in the future, but above all, I hope we win the league. If we're talking about why I won the Golden Boot thanks to my goals in the league, my goal this year is to continue in the same vein with the team. If we win the league and I win another Golden Boot, I'll be even happier than I am now."
