Kapil Sharma’s Surrey Café hit by firing for third time in four months

Kapil Sharma's café in Surrey, Canada, was targeted for the third time in four months with multiple gunshots fired at its façade. A social media post, allegedly from associates of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, claimed responsibility, warning Bollywood figures and those involved in illegal activities. Authorities are investigating the incident and a viral video.
In yet another alarming incident, comedian and actor Kapil Sharma's café in Surrey, Canada, came under attack for the third time in just over four months, reported Multiple gunshots were reportedly fired at on Thursday, reigniting security concerns around the establishment.
According to the report, the brief footage shows the shooter firing repeatedly at the building before speeding away. So far, no injuries have been reported in connection with the attack.
Claiming responsibility
Following the firing, a screenshot of a social media post, purportedly uploaded by a user named —featuring a display photo of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi—began circulating online. The authenticity of the post remains unconfirmed.The post, allegedly written by and , both said to be Bishnoi's associates, claimed responsibility for the shooting. It stated: “Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh. Today's firing at Kap's Café, Surrey, was carried out by me, Kulvir Sidhu, and Goldy Dhillon. We have no grudge with the general public… Those from Bollywood who speak against our religion should also be prepared; bullets can come from anywhere.”
The message also warned individuals involved in “illegal activities” or those who “do not pay after their jobs are done,” urging others to stay away from such people.
Ongoing investigation
Law enforcement authorities in Surrey have launched an investigation into the latest firing, though no arrests have been made so far.This marks the third attack on Kap's Café this year. Previous firing incidents were reported on July 10 and August 7, during which windows were shattered but no casualties occurred. The café had only recently reopened, with Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke attending the reopening ceremony, noted the report.
Reports suggest that the mention of “Bollywood” in the alleged post could be linked to Kapil Sharma's association with a popular film star, though officials have not confirmed any connection.
Police continue to examine the viral video and social media posts as part of the ongoing probe into the repeated attacks on the café.
