ICSE Student Didn’t Miss THIS Julius Caesar Connection In Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar — Were You Able To Spot It?
A short Instagram clip has struck a chord with former ICSE students across the country. In the video, a woman revisits an old English literature book from her school days and shares why it still means so much to her. What starts as a casual moment quickly turns into a proud reminder of long study hours, detailed note-making, and lessons that stayed with her long after school ended.
The clip has sparked nostalgia, especially among those who remember the pressure and discipline of the ICSE syllabus.
The Clip Starts With A Familiar Find
The video opens with the woman excitedly telling the camera, “Guys, look what I found!" She then holds up her old English textbook titled Treasure Trove, a collection commonly used by ICSE students. The cover looks worn, and as she opens it, viewers can see pages filled with handwritten notes.
She explains that for every printed line in the book, they were made to write nearly ten extra lines behind it. As she flips through the pages, the camera clearly shows how crowded the book is with explanations and rewrites.
Talking about the notes, she says they had to think deeply about each sentence. According to her, students were expected to ponder, analyse, and fully understand the context of every line before writing it down.
She admits she feels “just a little" proud of being an ICSE student because of how detailed the learning was.
A Movie Moment Proves The Point
She then recalls watching Dhurandhar with friends recently. In the final chapter, the line “Et tu, Brute?" appeared on screen. While her friends looked confused, she instantly understood the reference.
She remembers looking around and asking them if they got it. When they didn't, she thought to herself that it was a clear Julius Caesar reference and wondered how they missed it.
Pointing back to the book, she stresses how much effort went into those school years. She talks about waking up at six in the morning for English tuition, even on Saturdays and Sundays, just to write pages like these.
She says she worked very hard during Classes 10, 11, and 12 and feels proud of that effort even today. Ending the clip, she calls out to other ICSE students and asks them to comment.
