A dashcam in Kolkata is gaining widespread attention online for all the right reasons, as it features a cab driver who ensured that an intoxicated woman passenger reached home safely. He handled the situation with patience and full responsibility.
The dashcam footage shows a woman who is visibly drunk and repeatedly expressing her concern to the driver. “Uncle, can you get me home safe please? I am very drunk," she says to which the driver assures her, saying, “I am here. I will take you to your home safe."
She continues to repeat her concern, but the driver remains calm. “I know you're drunk, beta. Please keep quiet, and I will take you to your home," he tells her. She responds, “I will try to keep quiet," and he laughs, repeating, “I will take you home."
Kolkata Cab Driver Calms Drunk Woman Passenger
When the woman receives a call from her mother, she hands over the phone to the driver. He informs her mother that her daughter is on the way and even shares his live location. After the call ends, the woman mentions that her mother will scold her for being out late. The driver responds playfully, “She should. You're acting like a spoiled brat."
During the ride, the woman thanks him for his effort. The driver keeps it modest: “It is my duty, no need to thank me. It's my job. I take money for this." The footage also shows the driver assisting the woman at the end of the ride. He opens the gate and waits for her to enter the house.

The driver, identified as Vikas, was transporting a pregnant woman and her husband to a hospital when she went into labour mid-journey. Sensing the urgency of the situation, he assisted with the delivery inside the vehicle and later ensured that both the mother and the newborn were taken safely to the hospital.
