Deadly Dashcam Video: Biker Smashes Car, Then Snoozes On It — Epic ‘Chain Ki Neend’
A video of a road accident emerging from Malaysia has unsettled viewers for an entirely different reason. Captured on a car's dashcam, the clip shows a crash that shifts from alarming to baffling. The incident did not just involve a collision between a car and a motorcycle. What stunned viewers was the motorcyclist's response moments after impact, when instead of reacting with pain or shock, he was seen lying still on the car's bonnet as if he were falling asleep.
According to a report by The Star, the incident took place on January 6 at around 10:30 PM along Jalan Masai Lama in Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The hatchback involved was driven by a 22-year-old man, while the motorcycle was ridden by a 29-year-old man who is not a Malaysian national.
Malaysia: Bike And Car Crash Caught On Camera
The dashcam footage shows a car on a one-way road when suddenly the biker comes from the opposite direction. He rides directly towards the vehicle, and just seconds later, he collides head-on with the car. The force of the impact throws the rider onto the bonnet of the hatchback directly in front of the dashcam.
But instead of attempting to get up, the motorcyclist is seen adjusting his position on the bonnet.
He then lies down on his side and faces towards the dashcam in what viewers described as a “sleeping position." The rider remains still on top of the car. This gives the impression that he had decided to rest there immediately after the collision.
Bro couldn't afford a bed, so he manage to take a two wheeler.
‘Chain Ki Neend Finally': Internet Reacts With Humour
The biker's unexpected behaviour became the focal point of the video. Many users responded with humour and sarcasm.
One user joked, “Earlier, after getting drunk, people were falling and sleeping inside drains. Now, they became dare devils. They cause accidents and sleep on vehicles."
Another added, “Ab zyada acchi neend ayegi (Now, he will get a much better sleep)."
Someone else remarked, “That was a perfect ending to a horrible episode," while a person wrote, “He just accepted his fault and decided to take a nap on the hood. Blud just accepted his fate so casually."
Several comments continued along similar lines, with a viewer writing, “Knew about sleep walking but this is new…sleep riding."
Others added, “When the doctor has asked you to take 8 hours of good sleep," “Bhai neend sabko pyaari hai (Brother, everyone loves to sleep)," and “Chain ki neend finally (A good sleep finally)."
While a section of viewers treated the moment lightly, not all reactions were humorous. Many expressed concern over the seriousness of the incident.
An individual demanded strict action, saying, “This is serious & could have caused the lives of others. Such riders should be in jail for 5 years at least, and their license revoked. They should never get a license in life. And if caught should be in jail for 10 more years with bail."
Another wrote, “Not even funny bro… seriously what is happening with these people, seems like there's full intentions of self-harm, something like that."
“He was drunk 100 per cent. Car stopped, he didn't," a commenter speculated.
