Actress-producer Patralekhaa has hit back at body-shaming remarks made after her recent appearance at the screening of Rajkummar Rao starrer ‘Toaster’. The actress, who welcomed her first child with Rajkummar in November 2025, slammed the paparazzi pages making insensitive remarks surrounding her physical appearance, and urged people to be more empathetic.
During a recent appearance at Toaster screening, the conversation around her quickly turned unpleasant, with some pages commenting on Patralekhaa’s physical appearance. Calling out the insensitive narrative, she responded strongly, addressing the trolling and highlighting the realities of her postpartum body. Emphasising that such scrutiny is unwarranted, she urged people to be kinder and more mindful, firmly standing up against the criticism and refusing to let it pass unchallenged.
“Pap pages! What’s happened to me!? is that I have just given birth! Yes I have gained the weight, which seems like an unnatural phenomenon to you all. I have not sat and eaten a mountain, I just delivered a baby and produced two films simultaneously which are not easy jobs," she wrote.
“If I could, I would not be this way. But that’s how my body has reacted to pregnancy. For God’s sake please learn to be a little kind," she added.

Patralekhaa was last seen in the film Phule, where she portrayed Savitribai Phule, earning appreciation for her performance and has been receiving several awards for her role. Following this, she is also building her production house, which recently marked its debut with Toaster. The film, released on Netflix, has been basking in positive response. It stars Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra in the lead roles.
Patralekhaa tied the knot with Rajkummar Rao on November 15, 2021. On their fourth wedding anniversary, the couple welcomed their first child, a baby girl. They issued a joint statement on Instagram that read, “We are over the moon. God has blessed us with a baby girl."
In January 2026, they revealed their daughter’s name- Parvati Paul Rao- by sharing a tiny glimpse of the little princess. “With folded hands and full hearts, we introduce our greatest blessing. PARVATI PAUL RAO," read the statement.
