In many Indian homes, a luxury gift can turn an ordinary day into a full-blown drama. That is exactly what happened when a daughter surprised her mother with a Gucci purse. The mother's reaction was pure joy while the father's reaction was completely the opposite and desis are totally relating to the scenario.
The viral video begins with the mother and father sitting on their bed. As soon as the mother lays eyes on the Gucci purse, she can't hide her excitement. She immediately starts unboxing the gift with big smile on her face. The father is seen lying beside her and watching with disbelief and his usual dad-style practicality. The difference between the mother's excitement and the father's slightly annoyed reaction is what makes the video so entertaining online.

The mother's happiness is infectious as she holds the Gucci purse. But the father immediately comments, “Kahe ko paise barbaad karta rehte hai (Why do you keep wasting money)."
The mother replies, “Aree! Gucci hai bai" (It's Gucci, dear).
He goes on, “Itne saare purse hai. Fike ghum rahe hai kamro mein. Use bhi nhi aa rahe (There are so many purses lying around the rooms. She doesn't even use them)."
The mother, still enjoying her unboxing moment, says, “Aree Gucci toh Gucci hai na (A Gucci is still a Gucci)."
The father doesn't stop and continues, “Gucci ho ya pucchi ho, karna kya hai yaar (Be it Gucci or something else, what's the point)."

Since being shared online, the video has gathered over four lakh views. Social media users couldn't get enough of the mother and the father's totally opposite reactions.
One user commented, “I love aunty's happiness but uncle is not wrong in what he says."
Another wrote, “At the end of the day, she's happy and a happy mom is everything."
Many viewers found the father's reaction highly relatable. “Papa log ka yahi reaction hota hai (This is exactly how dads react)," one user wrote, while another added, “Papa and their obsession with ‘kahe paise barbaad kare'."
“Abhi uncle ko bolo ki kisi rishtedar ko udhari deni hai… to sab beech ke de denge (If a relative needs a loan, uncle will sell everything just to help them)," a person jokingly wrote.
