The mother's reaction was pure joy while the father's reaction was completely the opposite and desis are totally relating to the scenario.
The viral video begins with the mother and father sitting on their bed. As soon as the mother lays eyes on the Gucci purse, she can't hide her excitement. She immediately starts unboxing the gift with big smile on her face. The father is seen lying beside her and watching with disbelief and his usual dad-style practicality. The difference between the mother's excitement and the father's slightly annoyed reaction is what makes the video so entertaining online.

The mother's happiness is infectious as she holds the Gucci purse. But the father immediately comments, “Kahe ko paise barbaad karta rehte hai (Why do you keep wasting money)."
The mother replies, “Aree! Gucci hai bai" (It's Gucci, dear).
He goes on, “Itne saare purse hai. Fike ghum rahe hai kamro mein. Use bhi nhi aa rahe (There are so many purses lying around the rooms. She doesn't even use them)."
