The couple, who got married in Meerut this week, is facing legal action after a video from their wedding sparked concern among the authorities. Their grand ceremony took an unexpected turn when Sahil and Annu fired shots in the air on stage.

The visuals from the event show the newlyweds standing on stage as guests watch. In the clip, shared on Instagram, Sahil and Annu are both seen holding the rifle together during the ceremony before two rounds are fired into the air. Police Takes Action Against The Couple

As soon as the video gained attention online, officials in Meerut took note. Hindustan Times reported that Meerut Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vipin Tada confirmed that a case has been registered against the couple at Sardhana police station.

The FIR has been filed under Section 125 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for an act that could endanger human life or safety, and under Sections 25 and 30 of the Arms Act. The rifle, officials said, belonged to a man named Satyanarayan. Police have stated that further investigation is underway and appropriate action will follow.

What Happened At The Ceremony

The wedding took place on Tuesday night, November 18, at a marriage palace in Meerut. Annu arrived in a traditional red lehenga and was welcomed by Sahil who went down on one knee and offered her a bouquet before leading her to the stage. While standing together, the couple held the rifle and Sahil fired two shots upwards.

The ceremony saw the presence of several sportspersons from different fields along with local politicians. The couple also held a grand reception in Rohtak, Haryana, on Wednesday, November 19.
