‘Porcupine Meant To Civet Cat’: UK Tourist, In Nagaland, Shows The ‘Craziest’ Hornbill Festival Menu

A tourist from the United Kingdom has taken the internet by storm after sharing a fascinating account of his visit to the Hornbill Festival in Nagaland. The tourist was seemingly in shock after going through a restaurant menu that included dishes he never thought he would experience.

Known as the ‘Festival of Festivals', Hornbill draws thousands of visitors from around the world every year with its vibrant display of tribal culture, food, and dance. However, for the tourist, the highlight of the event turned out to be a food menu that included spider, silkworm, grasshopper and much more.

Tourist Gets Shocked to See Creepy Insects on Food Menu

In the real, the tourist named Alex narrated how the menu at first appeared completely normal, listing familiar dishes like pork, butter chicken, dal makhani and other famous Indian staples. “It all started off so normal," he said before going down on the menu and showing his audience “one of the craziest menus."

As he scrolled further down the menu, the list turned “a little bit weird": silkworm larvae, snails, spiders, grasshoppers, porcupine meat, and palm civet cat meat. The “unusual" menu left the tourist in shock as he burst into laughter, saying, “This is the craziest menu I've ever seen in my life." He ended the note with a playful yet serious question. “Whoever is eating a cat, what are you doing in life, man?" he asked.

Someone else suggested, “Try the silkworm; it's crunchy like popcorn," to which the tourist stated, “Haha!! Had it yesterday; not for me."

“Why is Snake missing?" one asked hilariously.
