In a bid to further strengthen its remarkable run, the makers of Dhurandhar have announced a special Blockbuster Tuesday offer, slashing ticket prices to just ₹149. The move is aimed at drawing even more audiences to theatres and comes at a time when Rebel Star Prabhas' recent release, The Raja Saab, is also witnessing a strong box office response.
Film trade analyst and movie critic Taran Adarsh took to social media to announce the limited-period offer. The announcement comes amid stiff competition at the box office, with The Raja Saab performing decently in its opening days. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Prabhas' film earned an estimated ₹108 crore in India within its first three days of release, adding to the competitive theatrical landscape.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar is a gritty action thriller inspired by real-life events linked to India's National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval. The film explores covert operations carried out by Indian special agents in Pakistan, blending intense action with patriotism and high-stakes suspense.
Ranveer Singh leads the film as a fearless undercover operative, sporting a rugged, long-haired look and delivering what many consider one of the most intense performances of his career. He is joined by a powerhouse cast, including Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan and Sara Arjun, each contributing significantly to the film's gripping narrative.
With its staggering box office numbers, Dhurandhar has rewritten records, emerging as the highest-grossing Indian film in a single language. It surpassed Pushpa 2's Hindi collection of ₹821 crore on January 6. In comparison, Chhaava earned ₹601 crore in Hindi, while Jawan collected ₹586 crore. Other films that crossed the ₹500 crore mark in Hindi include Stree 2, Gadar 2, Pathaan, Animal and Baahubali 2.
