Delhi school bomb threat: Fresh alerts ring in British School, Modern School, Sanskriti School; second scare in three days
On Thursday morning, schools in New Delhi were rocked by bomb threats as alarming emails prompted swift security responses at institutions like The British School, Modern School, and Sanskriti School. Security teams executed rigorous searches, leaving no trace of danger behind. This incident mirrors previous threats that targeted local courts and CRPF schools this week, heightening the city's alertness.
At least three private shools in New Delhi were shaken by bomb threats via emails on Thursday morning, triggering large-scale security checks, officials said, marking the second such incident in three days.
The British School in Chanakyapuri, Modern School in Barakhamba Road and Sanskriti School in Chanakyapuri were the institutions that reported receiving the threatening messages. Security teams, including a bomb disposal squad, dog squad and fire department personnel, were immediately deployed to the campuses.However, according to police, nothing suspicious has been found so far, but searches are still underway.
"A bomb threat email was received at Sanskriti School, Chanakypuri, this morning. Nothing suspicious was found following the search operation. Police personnel present at the school," said the Delhi Police in an official statement.
Earlier this week, four distrcit courts and two CRPF-run schools in the national capital received bomb threats on Tuesday, after an unknown man called the Police Control Room (PCR) claiming that explosives had been planted at these places.Add as a Reliable and Trusted News Source Add Now!
