The IMD has issued a yellow alert for fog in the national capital for Friday amid the cold weather conditions. In Noida and Gurugram, one can expect fog or mist during early morning hours. Air India in an advisory said that reduced fog in Delhi may impact flight schedules across the network.
Delhi continues to reel under cold day conditions on Friday and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a yellow alert for dense fog for January 9, Friday. Parts of Delhi witnessed early morning rain on Friday, adding to the bitter cold as the national capital continues to face an intense cold spell with nighttime temperatures dipping to around 5 degrees Celsius.
The weather office has also forecast a minimum temperature of around 6 degrees Celsius and a maximum of about 17 degrees Celsius for the day. As far as Noida is concerned, the IMD has predicted fog or mist during early morning hours with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to hover around 16 degrees Celsius and 8 degrees Celsius, respectively. In Gurugram, people can expect fog mist or in the morning and mainly clear sky later in the day. The maximum and minimum temperatures likely to hover around 15 degrees Celsius and 6 degrees Celsius in Gurugram, respectively.

Cold day conditions are likely to prevail at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, East Madhya Pradesh and Bihar during the next one to three days.
