Delhi Metro Bike Taxi Service: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is set to introduce an “Integrated Last Mile Connectivity” service, offering significant relief to daily commuters in the national capital.
The “Integrated Last Mile Connectivity” service, scheduled to launch on January 31, will enable passengers to seamlessly book organised bike taxis, auto-rickshaws, and cabs, eliminating the hassle of finding a last-mile travel option and allowing commuters to plan their entire journey.
– The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has signed an agreement with Sahkar Taxi Cooperative Ltd., a multi-State cooperative and mobility service provider operating the Bharat Taxi platform, to strengthen last-mile connectivity for Delhi metro commuters.
– Under the partnership, passengers will launch Integrated Last-Mile Connectivity, allowing commuters to book and pay for organised bike taxis, auto rickshaws and cabs through the DMRC Sarthi App.
– DMRC is set to launch the pilot phase of the initiative on January 31 with the introduction of dedicated bike-taxi zones at select metro stations, ensuring fair fares, reliable service and seamless last-mile connectivity.
