BJP Leaders Arrive To Meet Bride & Groom, Moments Later Stage Collapses, They All Sink In | Shocking Video
A wedding celebration in Uttar Pradesh's Ballia on Wednesday, November 26, took an unexpected turn when the elevated platform built for the couple suddenly collapsed, sending the bride, groom, and several guests standing nearby tumbling to the ground. The incident left attendees shocked, particularly because several senior political leaders were present on the stage at the time. Although the fall looked alarming in videos captured at the venue, everyone was safely assisted out, and no major injuries were reported.
According to a report in Bhaskar English, the programme was hosted at the Ramlila Ground during the reception of BJP leader Abhishek Singh's brother. BJP district president Sanjay Mishra, former MP Bharat Singh, Bansdih MLA Ketakee Singh's representative Vishram Singh, former BJP district general secretary Surjit Singh and many other local party leaders had stepped onto the stage at the same time.
As they gathered to bless the couple, the stage began to fill up. Within minutes, the structure could no longer support its weight and collapsed.

The clip from the wedding shows the couple seated on the couch while several leaders surround them. People appear to be arranging themselves for a photo. Without any warning, the floor beneath them drops, and the entire group disappears as the stage sinks. The crowd standing in front can be heard reacting as they run forward to help.

The video was shared widely online and sparked different kinds of reactions, with many social media users responding with humour.
One user jokingly commented, “Heavyweight leaders they are," while another added, “Too much moral weight."
“That stage is the country," someone else remarked.
“Is this prediction for next UP's election results?" a person asked, and an individual wrote, “The stage may have been built by a government contractor."
“Event organiser needs to now run for his life," a viewer said.
“Oh no… that looked scary. Hope everyone is safe and no one was seriously hurt," read another comment.

What Went Wrong?
BJP district president Sanjay Mishra later said that the platform was not strong enough and too many people stepped on it at once. He explained that more people than necessary climbed onto the stage to give blessings, and that caused it to collapse. He confirmed that only one worker had a minor injury and the couple was unharmed, Bhaskar English reported.
