BCCI Invites All ICC Tournament-Winning Indian Teams For Naman Awards 2026
Naman will celebrate India’s recent triumphs in ICC events across various formats and age groups.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will host its annual awards ceremony, Naman, on March 15 in New Delhi. The event will honour five Indian teams that clinched ICC trophies over the past year, as announced by BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia.
Naman will celebrate India’s recent triumphs in ICC events across various formats and age groups, as well as recognise the top performers in both international and domestic cricket during the 2024/25 season.
“The BCCI Awards ceremony will take place on March 15 in New Delhi. We plan to invite all the ICC tournament winners, including the recent T20 World Cup champions, along with their coaches,” Saikia told IANS on Tuesday. “This includes the senior men’s team, the senior women’s team, the U19 boys’ team, and the U19 girls’ team, who all won trophies in 2025.”
The ceremony will be held at a five-star hotel near the airport in the national capital to accommodate the men’s team players, who will need to join their respective IPL franchises for the pre-season camps starting on March 28.
Saikia also confirmed that the 2025 Champions Trophy-winning squad will be honoured at the ceremony. “We will invite the members of the 2025 Champions Trophy-winning team as well. Thus, the awards night will celebrate the five ICC trophies won by various Indian teams over the past year, making it a memorable evening,” he added.
Earlier, the BCCI had announced a cash reward of Rs 131 crore for the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup-winning squad and support staff, which is an increase of Rs six crore from the total prize money announced for the 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup-winning team.
Regarding the prize money distribution for the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup winning team, Saikia mentioned that further details would be provided soon. He noted that the total amount of Rs 131 crore is unprecedented for any victorious Indian team, adding that the support staff and selectors would also benefit from this reward.
