Zydus Lifesciences Ltd on Monday announced its unaudited consolidated financial results for the quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2025.
For the December quarter of FY26, revenue from operations rose 30.3 per cent year-on-year to Rs 6,864.5 crore from Rs 5,269.1 crore in the year-ago period.
EBITDA increased 30.9 per cent to Rs 1,816.4 crore in Q3 FY26 from Rs 1,387.6 crore in Q3 FY25. EBITDA margin stood at 26.5 per cent compared with 26.3 per cent in the corresponding quarter last year.
Profit before tax before exceptional items rose 21.5 per cent to Rs 1,438.3 crore from Rs 1,184.1 crore a year ago. After exceptional items, profit before tax increased 14.3 per cent to Rs 1,353.4 crore in Q3 FY26.
Reported net profit for the quarter rose 1.8 per cent to Rs 1,042.1 crore from Rs 1,023.5 crore in the year-ago period. Adjusted net profit increased 8.5 per cent to Rs 1,110.9 crore compared with Rs 1,023.5 crore in Q3 FY25.
The adjusted figures exclude an exceptional expense of Rs 84.9 crore in Q3 FY26 related to a one-time increase in gratuity and leave encashment liability under the new labour code, and acquisition-related costs of Rs 34.2 crore incurred in Q2 FY26, including tax impact.
Research and development expenditure during the quarter stood at Rs 607.4 crore, accounting for 8.8 per cent of revenues. Organic capital expenditure for the quarter was Rs 463.7 crore.
For the nine months ended December 31, 2025, revenue from operations rose 17 per cent year-on-year to Rs 19,561.4 crore from Rs 16,713.6 crore.
EBITDA for the nine months increased 20 per cent to Rs 5,920.7 crore from Rs 4,933.0 crore a year ago. EBITDA margin improved to 30.3 per cent from 29.5 per cent in the year-ago period.
Profit before tax before exceptional items for the nine months rose 16.7 per cent to Rs 5,080.5 crore from Rs 4,354.7 crore. Adjusted net profit for the nine months increased 15.2 per cent to Rs 3,864.0 crore from Rs 3,354.6 crore.
As of December 31, 2025, the net debt to equity ratio stood at 0.11 times, while the net debt to EBITDA ratio was 0.36 times.
During the December quarter, pharma business revenue rose 18.2 per cent year-on-year to Rs 5,523.0 crore. India formulations revenue increased 12.9 per cent to Rs 1,709.4 crore, while North America formulations revenue rose 16.4 per cent to Rs 2,804.3 crore.
International markets formulations revenue grew 38.2 per cent to Rs 788.1 crore. API segment revenue increased 25.8 per cent to Rs 214.3 crore, while alliances and others revenue declined 31 per cent to Rs 6.9 crore.
Consumer wellness business revenue surged 113.4 per cent year-on-year to Rs 957.8 crore during the quarter. Medtech business revenue stood at Rs 299.6 crore.
For the nine months, pharma business revenue rose 12.9 per cent to Rs 16,380.4 crore. Consumer wellness revenue increased 38.2 per cent to Rs 2,450.1 crore, while medtech revenue stood at Rs 454.8 crore.
Zydus Lifesciences Ltd shares gained 3.47 per cent to close at Rs 918.70 on the BSE following the company's quarterly results. The stock opened at Rs 899.85, hit a high of Rs 933.40 and a low of Rs 885.00, after settling at Rs 887.85 in the previous session. The company operates in the pharmaceuticals sector.
