Xiaomi Redmi 15 5G India Launch: Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 15 5G smartphone in India. The newly launched device runs on Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0 and comes with AI features such as Google's Gemini and Circle to Search. It is available in three color options — Midnight Black, Frosty White, and Sandy Purple. Notably, this is the first phone in its segment to feature a silicon-carbon cell.
The phone sports a 6.9-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,340 pixels) display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 288Hz touch sampling rate, and peak brightness of 850 nits. It is powered by a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC, coupled with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

The device is powered by a massive 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports 33W fast wired charging. For photography, the smartphone features an AI-powered 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
Adding further, the smartphone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, IR blaster, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band Wi-Fi, USB Type-C connectivity, and an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. The phone will be available in India from August 28 on Mi.com, Mi Home stores, Amazon, and select retail outlets.
